Yeah agreedDecent shout although Southampton had us very much on the back foot for most of the first half. Second half, they were just as ridiculous as Leeds were today if not more so.

It does.
Probably a slightly false position with the games in hand that City and Villa have, but certainly healthier nonetheless.
Teams would rather have the points I’m sure
Great 3 points and good to see the team play well as a whole (thought Ndombele and Bergwijn were both v good)
Can’t remember a team giving the ball away as much as Leeds did. Actually thought they were the worst team we have played this season.

They will be playing them in April at this rateAbsolutely. I’ll be thrilled if we’re still sitting above City when they’ve played both their games in hand.

That 2nd half was one of the most naive performances I've ever seen from an opposition team
They only have one way of playing and thats what has always been Bielsa's undoing. The lack of flexibility alsways comes back to haunt him. Pep and Poch as disciples of Biesla are both seen as infelxible but both adapted the core princliples of Biesal's high intensity press with some modifications that make the system a touch more practical. Klopp's sides do the same thing but from a different phisophical base.
TBF to Leeds this approach covers for their lack of other qualitiesI was talking about the Southampton game but you're not wrong regarding Leeds.
Bigger/better teams can be less flexible in their approach as they are at the standard required to take their game to the opposition week in week out and get results. Would be interesting to see how Biesla would fair at a rich club.

Mourinho - the boys are talented, let them show it.

It’s what will keep them in the prem this season
Maybe, just maybe the team having the midweek ofd helpedWhat surprised me the most was how much we counter-pressed them high up for the first 60-odd minutes. Yes, we went back into our shell for the final 30, but the first 60 were full of aggressive, front-foot pressing and traps across the final third.
It was punch and counter-punch, with us betting that our quality would win out against their lack of it - both teams had quality chances, but ours fell to Kane, Son, Bergwijn and Ndombele, while theirs fell to Bamford, Harrison and Phillips.
It was surprisingly proactive - it worked, and was exciting to watch. We probably should have scored twice as many as we did, but this was front-foot stuff, the type I desperately wanted to see after the miserable failures of the last few weeks. We had more shots on and off target today than I think we've had in the past month combined.
Yes, Leeds were magnificently naive, and played into our hands in a way most teams won't. But attack with aggressiveness like that regularly, and we will win games against most of the bottom 14. More of this please Mourinho - the boys are talented, let them show it.
TrueI think they’ll need another COVID extended break, if not they will hit the wall again.
Bamford won’t score enough goals to make up for the ones they give away.
His inflexibility and suicidal defending is probably the reason bigger clubs haven’t taken a punt a him. His teams are great to watch but they aren’t practical. The pundits may salivate over him, but the likes of Poch and Pep only follow his style to a point, hence why Poch got the job at spurs which has led to him getting a chance at PSG. Poch had a good defensive record at spurs and even at Southampton. Bielsa’s biggest jobs were arguably Bilbao and Argentina and he couldn’t get out of the group stage against England, Sweden and Nigeria.
