thats the sad truth. i think because the decline in quality has been a fairly slow, yet steady trajectory, it hasn't been quite so obvious.

compare what we have today with the likes of Ledley King, in form Benny, Modric, Bale, VdV and you see why we're struggling.

i was hoping lamela would be the man to keep the quality high and at least ensure we had one stand out player.

i think eriksen has potential, i think dembele - whilst not being as good as modric et al - is important and underrated; other than that there really isn't much.

the oxymoron of spurs is summarised in the defence where you have Lloris and Vertonghen lining up alongside Rose and Dawson. Its champions league meets the dog and duck.

it really is hideous when you think this side had 100 million pumped into it the summer. i know i sound like a broken record but 100 MILLION!

we've really thrown away chance after chance in recent seasons and the summer spending was an absolute catastrophe.

aaaanyway. we're still in this today, and we still have better players than hull. we just need an across the board improvement plus lennon staying wide and eriksen on the ball as often as possible.
 
I agree Ade is playing too deep because of Soldado, might sound drastic but how about getting Kane on for Soldado? and either him or Eriksen could drop in behind Ade, while the other plays out left?

Other then a defensive mistake Hull have created nothing. We've looked decent in possession but no where near threatening enough. Hopefully we'll improve or score a couple of flukey goals like Fulham away.

Our passing and movement has been terrible. Hull have scored and are happy to sit back, but we still struggle to make anything happen in their half.

Nah tbh i think we'll lose 2-0 (look at my score prediction for the game).

We haven't been bad though, we just haven't looked threatening. Our last touch has been off but in terms of an away performance? this isn't bad at all. We've restricted them to nothing besides a defensive **** up and would have scored had our last touch been better.
 
Ade is working hard, but his passing is sloppy as hell. I don't know who we bought from Valencia, but that's not the Roberto Soldado of the past couple of years. Has Lennon been told to play more centrally? If so Sherwood's made a huge mistake. If not, then Lennon needs to sort himself out and get back on the right wing to stretch the play. Paulinho's been all right but nothing special. Vertonghen's not up to speed yet obviously. Eriksen's playing well enough though and Rose is having one of his better games.

As a team we need to do a lot better in the second half.

We are going backwards 100% it's a shambles from the top down.
We had a chances to push in past years and just sold all the quality slowly. And we are left with this in the summer will be worse players will be off.
 
I doubt paulinho is ready for 90 minutes. I want to see eriksen in the modric deeplying playmaker role again. I think wed really control the game and open them up if he was switched there.
 
rose is such an aggressive diickhead of a bloke. what the fuuck is wrong with him?

it looks like he's an aggro diickhead with a huge chip on his shoulder.
