***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City, Saturday 1st February 15:00

Argh Lennon!

We need to stretch the pitch. When we have the ball centrally there is nobody wide to pasts to, just 3 blokes within 5 yards asking for the ball, completely marked.

You have to stretch the pitch to create gaps, whether you use the wide man or not, it creates gaps in the defence. So basic.

You see Adebayor and Eriksen breaking through the middle and Lennon is on their toes instead of providing an outlet out wide for a 1-2

Agree with this, it's what I've advocated in the past. Stop the congestion but maximising the use of the whole pitch. Pull the game wide and create more opemn spaces for players to move in to.

didn't it come out that he only cost 13m in the end, with rest being add ons?

not that that excuses a poor season.

seems to be a bit of a trend under Sherwood from what i have read so far - start poorly and turn it around to finish well? is that accurate? missed everything up until the Swansea game

...and not being added on at the moment...!

We should be able to do this. But Hull are good. A win will be a tough ask.

when is frank de boer joining?
when are we buying a left back?
when is lamella going to come good?
when is kaboul fit?

Shane Long's first goal since November. We are the gift that keeps on giving. I say we should employ the old tactics of British Bulldog. Annihilate the opposition

Yawn, this is just incredibly bad. Where's the plan, failing that, the entertainment value? It's all just disorganized hit-and-hope.

You don't half exaggerate at times.

Other then a defensive mistake Hull have created nothing. We've looked decent in possession but no where near threatening enough. Hopefully we'll improve or score a couple of flukey goals like Fulham away.

There were times during that first half when we made Hull City look like Emirates Marketing Project. I was worried that the 5-1 defeat at home would knock the stuffing out of us. If we don't stop the rot over the next 45 minutes I think we could be in trouble.

Hull have been awful, but they've been pressing us hard. They will tire and I'm pretty confident we can win this game towards the end.

Sounds like the makings of a top 4 team to me!

Surprisingly optimistic from you. What's happened? Who are you?? Lol

Changes? Timmy needs to give it to them in the locker room. Was such a sloppy, sloppy half.

Lennon needs to come off for me. Just been anonymous and isn't using the width enough. That's one of the things that struck me that City do so well and we used to do with 'Arry.

Ade and eriksen are the only ones playing well.

Ade?! Giving the ball away far too much for my liking... indeed, all four of our attacking players are.

Don't know what the answer is here - maybe just the right kind of motivating team-talk at half-time.
