You have to trust the manager. We don’t have access to the information he has and there were other ones where he was always going to rotate (Davies, Royal, PEH, Samchez). I wouldn’t be getting too upset about it. Disappointing for sure but it was a tough draw and we lost it on a lottery.

Kudos to Sanchez for having the balls to take one but the management should have saved him from himself. Like letting a 3 year old toddler take a penalty. Unbelievable stuff.

Forster an utter embarrassment in that shootout. I’d terminate his contract for that.

I’m amazed how each season some fans are so comfortable letting trophies come and go with such ease.

No wonder we’ve won naff all for so long.

yeah i know the league is a long shot but only competing in the league til January, maybe get in a ST and CB before this window shuts....plus a signing then in the winter window. Europe-less Leicester and Chavs did it so who knows.

It’s massively disappointing but it’s not the end of the world. The manager is 4 games in. You have to see it for what it is - a penalty shoot out loss away to a decent PL team.

Trust what Ange is doing rather than trying to point fingers and finding a spacegoat to blame.

Sry, I know he is getting hate now, but the pen was bad. It was not hard to see the way he was going to shot and with no force goal keepers save that 9 out of 10. but the worse is that he was 95% to blame on the first goal. But Im happy Scarlet and Sarr didnt take a pen.
 
On a sidenote, people keep going on about how Richi needs a goal to get some confidence/belief. I think Sonny needs some of that medicine too. I know he was only a sub today but he isn't looking any more of a goal threat this season than he was last season - really need him to start chipping in, even more so now he's our 'leader'....
