Agreed. Difficult with Mitoma, get closer and you may just get dribbled past.

Good to see us look really dangerous on the break also when we dropped back a little bit towards the end. Need to adjustments to happen quickly when we can no longer press like we do from the start.

Excellent half. Werner has no confidence, other than we've been really good.

That right side with the triumvirate of Porro Kulu and Johnson is looking very hard to deal with for opposition. Long may it continue (after the int. Break...)

A lot to like about the performance, it's been brilliant. Only complaint is when Brighton suddenly got in to the game, Destiny seemed to find himself marking two at the back post and they should have had at least one goal from that route.

It would've been even better to get that goal from Johnson in the 1st 20 seconds, it looked like Johnson curved his run towards Timo but he didn't need to....

I do love this side of Maddison however I don't want to see him getting attention for being a bit of a wind up, if anything he could probably do with a quiet half of not getting chopped every time he is on the ball - Veltman seems a proper clam though, complaining about Madders "diving" and then going down at the slightest contact, they're all clams at the end of the day aren't they?

Lovely for Dom and Timo to get assists as well, if our own fans want to belittle the importance of creating goal scoring chances then GHod fudging help those sad souls.

Don't hold your breath.
Werner is second guessing himself and then third guessing himself and then bobbling the pass, he has no confidence near the box.
In midfield he played a beautiful first time flick round the corner, it was excellent play, then nearer the goal he just can't cope mentally and overthinks.

If we could swap Mitoma for Werner it would be 4-0 already.

His pace and technical abilities are really good indeed. If he discovers/develops a final ball and lifts his head, he would be top class. But will he, and if he has it in him, why is he at Spurs at this point in his career?
