***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Bodø/Glimt*** Europa League Semi-Final Second-Leg Thursday May 8th, KO 8pm

Oh the bitterness from a Liverpool fan.."you cant have a team finishing 18th in the Champions League, it's wrong"

Well firstly mate, we're 16th, and secondly, but Chelsea finishing 5th 19pts behind the Champions deserves a place. Utter b@llocks. At least Us and United will be classed as a Champion (of sorts) and have earned a spot in a 'Champions' Legue

My mate works at the club and reckons that the 14k allocation announced already has staff tickets taken out… ie that 14k is purely for the fans
Yes I saw someone on X saying they had asked the Ticket Office who confirmed the 14700 was for ST holders.

I reckon there's a good chance it will drop below 200 (as the CL Final did) once people who haven't booked anything yet realise how extortionate fares and hotels are now.
Having said that the club might not have the time to do that, as I think there's a very short window from UEFA to get the tickets sold.
Ridiculous having the final before the season ends.

They get their money and an other all expenses paid beano, like Postercoglu says "what do I care"

Woke up with "Spurs are on their way to Bilbao" ringing in my head. Going to be hard to shake that off today - not that I particularly want to. Other half might have something to say about it if I don't keep it in my head!
I’ve woken up with my Alexa’s going mad because overnight there has been a link to my Ring camera … every minute we’re getting there is movement at the front (no brick we live opposite a school)
Mission 1 - fix that
Mission 2 - coffee and watch the game again

It is hard to believe we’ll win the final. After so many nearly finals over the years. But we have a great chance now. Madders a miss but the rest must step up. We need to pass better through the midfield.

If we make it into the CL next season - and Ange becomes the most successful Spurs manager of modern times then gets sacked - it will be fitting. The Spurs rollercoaster 🎢

More games than he isn't when fit, in a game where literally there are about 4 traditional CBs in world football who can defend these days, in a game thats built around not protecting CBs universally

I am taking him above the majority of defenders that people want him sold and replaced with
Disagree. In games like this and other big games or for Argentina he looks world class, for games against "lesser teams" he's not as interested and it shows. At his best he's world class, but there's others who's peak performance isn't as high but turn up every week.

I don't think thats true, he was our best and one of the leagues best CBs when he came here, I think people are rightly or wrongly also creating the "country over club" narrative which is driving their opinion on him, I mean thats up to them TBH, but he is a very very good defender and if people like it or not we will miss him when he goes and rocks up at one of the best clubs in the world, because he is a player that would slot very nicely into a Madrid or other.

You can literally make caveats on every player in the world and a part that they struggle with, no one hammers those points home more than us Spurs fans (myself included)

No he really isn’t
He is a top player
But if I was going full gutter boy I’d say he has ADHD and forgets mid game sometimes he is a footballer

I think in many respects he is a product of the Spurs environment lately as many many players who are very good players have been at times themselves.

He's just one of many players at this club who can look great one game and poor the next, he is simply inconsistent. And he was the same under Conte, it can't just be put on Ange - he has always made dumb, rash decisions and ended up with stupid bookings and red cards along with costing us goals.

I agree he has been great since his return from injury, the devil in me could wonder if its to show Athletico Madrid he's worth paying the money for:p But he needs to perform like this for a whole season and not just a few weeks.....

Those Spurs fans who travelled and were in the stadium, you made me proud! I was seated in the same stand, but on the opposite end, but I could hear the Spurs fans the entire game! Unfortunately I got the ticket very late, so just had to rush it after work and drive up there, and forgor to charge my phone, so was almost out of juice when I entered the stadium, so didn't want to risk it, as I had to use the phone to access the apartment I rented, so very few pictures. But the experience will be in my mind forever! What a great night! We totally shut them out! Never seen a team do it as well as we did! Ange need to get huge credit for that!
We're in a European final for the 2nd time in 6 years! Not many teams can say that!

Never mind all that - how'd you get the ticket?

Must have involved a metric fudgeload of skrei.

He was hot headed under Conte but was defensively tremendous. Was literally in everyone that wrote about the PL team of the year in his first year, in fact he might have even been in the PL team of the year.

2021/2022 he was probably the best CB in the league, he then won the World Cup, 2023/2023 by 30 metrics for a defender he came out 2nd only to VVD in the league and BTW I think VVD is huge levels above him so thats not a comparison.

He is in this pattern, which I admit I do to Porro now, of everything is magnified "ohhh he is an idiot" "ohhhh he is so sh1t".....when the reality is somewhere probably more grounded than fan emotion, even I can admit that with my views

Hot headed, yes, rash, absolutely, a very very good defender.....most certainly
