OMT - Tottenham Hotspur - Leicester City

I would go as far to say that this is a must-win. There has been plenty of mentions that City havent won since we beat them, but neither have we, a four match won-less run is not quite a crisis, but we dont want it carry on much longer, bearing in mind November has 3 tough London derbies in it

Agreed. I think that is why Poch played the team he did on Tuesday at Anfield.
I think he will want to smash these guys up silly.

I'm thinking 5-1 with goals from Son, Alli, Lamela, Walker and Janssen after he comes off the bench.
Like another poster said, i think Poch will play a fluid midfield/attack like he did vs Emirates Marketing Project to take advantage of the lack of pace in their backline

I agree with Son up.
Key for me will be Dembele to look after Mahrez and as we know Mahrez doesn't track to go forward when we have controlled possession, especially exploiting the channel between Simpson and Morgan, who will foul him.
We do need to be more direct and get into their box.

we're winning this, leicester have been trounced on the road by 3 other "top 5 teams", as we are having trouble scoring this could be a nervous 1-0

Son or Janssen?
Son did really well upfront in one game using his pace to beat a Emirates Marketing Project defence that was pushed high up the pitch.
Leicester City sit deep.
It really suits Janssen to be used as an aerial threat. Son can play on the left where he's most effective.

This.Play them both.

But still think this will be a close affair. Will happily take a 2-1 win

Last season Leicester destroyed our chance to win our first league title since 1961. Our failure to beat them home and way contribute largely to them winning the league title. If the Spurs players don't get motivated to get revenge for that, nothing else can motivate them. Still find it hard to accept we threw away the golden chance to win the league title last season. A win here will go some way to help us forget the disappointment of last season.

I think one of the key moments of last season was when Lamela brilliantly set up an open goal scoring chance for Kane with an inch perfect pass against Leicester at home. Kane wasted the one-on-one chance and Leicester went on to beat us and won the league ultimately. We cannot afford to be wasteful like that again. Unfortunately, we seem to have forgotten how to score or win lately. With Kane still out injured, we badly need someone like Son, Lamela, Eriksen or Alli help us score the all-important goals. It will help us greatly if Janssen can score his first league goal for us, somehow.

We are still unable to find our settled midfield combination due to suspension and injuries. Dembele has just returned from his 6 match suspension. And now Sissoko will be suspended for a few matches instead. Atleast Wanyama is improving lately. I think Dembele is still struggling to find his best form after returning from his suspension. Hope Wanyama and Dembele will gel together in midfield as the season progress.

Our defence have done brilliantly so far this season. It is no surprise that we have the best defensive record this season. But we cannot afford to relax or get complacent. As shown against WBA, we can get punished if are not alert all the time. No doubt we will need all our best defenders playing. Hope Alderweireld is back from injury to partner Vertonghen in defence. We will need Lloris to continue his excellent form in goal as well.

It is going to be a tense match due to our failed league title battle against Leicester last season. Performance is not really important as long as we beat them this time !

Any t-e-a-m n-e-w-s yet ?

Wish we can have Kane back soon. We seemed to have forgotten how to score goals without Kane lately. Let's hope we can find the goals from somewhere to beat Leicester.

Leicester are defo struggling this season with not being able to constantly foul in the box like that always have done too

I really want us to smash this lot to pieces and win by at least 8 goals. Not gonna happen though. It will be a close game with few goals. It VITAL that we score first! Can't see us scoring twice if they score first. 1-0 just before half time would do nicely.

I don't know why it has taken me 20 years to do this but today I am taking my 70 year old dad to Spurs, who I don't think has ever been to WHL. I am such a bad son, I have 5 brothers and 3 of them are Spurs fans so we have 3 tickets with 4 brothers but have lost count of the games we have sold, or not gone to where there have been 3 empty seats. Why has it taken me or my brothers so long to take him to a Spurs game?! I feel so sad about it.

Hopefully he will enjoy it today, albeit we are right next to the away fans.

Better late than never. That's not a criticism btw. I used to go with my Dad when I was young, until I was old enough to go on my own. Then I had a good number of years where I drifted away from going at all, due to finances mainly. By the time I started going again,my dad had moved away from London, was not very mobile nor in great health, so I never thought it would work out to take him. But it could have been done had I put my mind to it. He passed away a couple of years ago, and I really wish I had made more of an effort to get him back to the Lane.
So don't regret not having taken him before now, just enjoy the day with him.
And if we win, well, he'll be your lucky omen!

Enjoy your day. The one regret I have after I lost my dad recently was that we never ever went to a game of rugby together as Father and Son. He was never ever come to a Spurs game with me, but he liked his Rugby League and would have loved to have gone just once with him to see the 'Wires'
