i would flip it and say that the guy in charge of the wet ham game has been given the royal boot.

But seriously if we lose, I want to see Sherwood's head roll.. Sick of the turgid performances he's been serving up of late.

It's a big leap into the unknown, isn't it?

I think that Townsend has pace and promise but whilst he doesn't look to pass to a team mate in a better position he is of limited use to the team.
 
Not sure how the players will get motivated for this match, since AVB got sacked purely due to poor league form. We have been excellent in Cup matches, yet that didn't stop AVB getting sacked. Will the players step up their performance in this match, knowing it means nothing to the management ? Looking at the pics of some players, they all looked shocked. It will be a miracle if they still give their best in this match.
 
Sherwood should just give the team a solid, simple shape that all the players know - 442 or whatever - and tell them to go out and run around a bit and express themselves. See where we're at.

Had a nose at their forum the other day and its mixed feelings between the fans. Some think they are going to spank us and others are worried that we will come out with a point to prove with players looking to impress.
