*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Manchester United ***

Although I wasn't happy with him taking off Simons who I thought once again had a really good game, Tel did very well
As did Odobert too

Second half I felt we were pretty good, as said above when we had Udogie on the left too we were so much more balanced

Really poor performance again until the last 10 mins. Extreme high followed by a comedown back to earth. A draw was probably the fair result in the end. I must admit I thought the Tel for Xavi sub was strange but can’t argue if the sub goes on to score a goal. Can see why the fans were unhappy at the time. Real lack of guile again today. Been saying it for years but we need better forwards like yesterday. We may have been a dull watch under Jose but we had world class forwards who were electrifying to watch when they scored goals out of nothing. This bargain basement collection of forwards we have are bottom half of the table quality.

Just watching quick highlights
1st goal was terrible from Sarr in not clearing the ball
2nd goal, I feel Vicario could have done a lot better really

Thought that second half was a big improvement. Better movement and more intent going forward. Just annoying that we threw away the win.

Encouraging to see good performances from Odobert, Tel and Xavi. It's glaringly obvious we need proper left sided players on the left, and more/better intuitively passing and moving offensive midfielders.

Overall happy we managed to build on our midweek performance against much better opposition.

We looked so much more balanced when Spence played RB and Udogie played LB
I like Porro but he has been poor for a while now
Another left footed LB in would give us total competition and rotation

Totally agree. Spence/Porro on RB and Udogie/new left footed guy on LB would be so much more better.

Should be remembered United only had one player out. One player! Didn't think that was possible in this day and age.
Also, they didn't play champions league on Wednesday. Had a whole week to prepare, like they have for pretty much every game this season, and they still look bang average, despite all the millions spent.
That dude with the hair will fill the entire old Trafford before that lot win 5 on the trot!

Yeah, me neither, but there surely has to be some decent/good options out there. That's for Paratici to find out, I guess.

Raum at Leipzig could be an interesting choice? Mitchell at Palace? I think you're right, however, let's see what the Don can find...but we need it. I'd also consider Chilwell. At Strasbourg through 2027, would probably like a move back to the Prem, experienced, good squad option...albeit I haven't seen him play recently, so not sure if he is the player I remember. Anyone?

Its not just Ange, under Conte and that clown season with 15 managers we conceded a ton of goals, some of those players are still here - even from back then, almost having to teach some of the players that defending is important again
Exactly this, Ange's system was so dramatic that many have forgotten what this side actually was before him. We couldn't defend and we couldn't attack. Again Frank is no miracle worker, it's going to take time and signings to make this team a consistent balance quality.
