***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC v Everton, Sun May 24th, 4.00pm, The Lane***

Thank fudge for that !!

I celebrated like mad out of relief at the final whistle
But I feel very annoyed and embarrassed/abysmal this season has been on and off the pitch
It simply cannot happen ever again and I don't think it will

Seeing RDZ looking at the South Stand at the final whistle reminded me of how Poch looked after the last ever game at WHL
You could see him thinking, what a club I have here and he does

COYS

Just got in and had a read through the thread even though I have been checking it all day. Please Tottenham don`t put me through so much stress again. 97 minutes gone and I was pleading for the final whistle, and was convinced Everton would score and make the last few minutes hell, but fair play to the boys they held on for the win. But is it just me but we always seem to be the last game to finish. Every game was over and ours went on and on. Was it over 100 minutes played when the whistle went? Ha ha I`ve had a few stress relieving beers now, and my sons are still out on it somewhere but bloody hell I hope we never have another season like this one

Don't know why there's this in vogue thing to complain about Neville. Whenever I hear him speak about us on his podcast or elsewhere he's always complimentary/respectful of our stature and no underlying tone with him. And again after the game today he's pretty spot on for me:

We were all so stressed and thought the game was in jeopardy or on a knife edge, when reality is Everton barely laid a glove on us.

It's so funny, if a West Ham fan was watching our game they'd be thinking the complete opposite and cursing Everton for not trying and being useless tacos

How the beautiful mind works!

Funny, I had a moment of clarity around 65 minutes when I thought exactly that.

That was about two minutes before I headed up the garden.

@Finney Is Back how much did you lose on the relegation bet
Honestly?…. About £40k and I couldn’t be happier mate!

I backed and laid a fair few times and ended up in a position where I couldn’t ’lose’ overall but my laying profit in the end was about £12k versus the £40k I would’ve netted had we gone down. I’m absolutely delighted to have ‘lost’ that money.

I could’ve hedged better in the last couple of weeks to even up my win/win but left it as it was to take the edge off us going down had it happened.

I did win a pretty hefty chunk today though backing both WH and Spurs to win as well as at least one goal in every PL game.

And yes…. This is me just in from the celebrations agter the game now at around 23:15 - that’s how happy I was that we avoided relegation.

Thank fudge we binned Frank and (eventually) got in De Zerbi!

He openly spoke about how us being relegated would be ‘good for the league’

fudge him and his podcasts the midlife crisis walloper

I want them to show me how the Automatic offside gets such accurate data. Foden offside by his butt cheeks. Rediculous. There is no way its that accurate. Just like the palace player whose nose was offside. Its simply not that accurate and who knows if they move that lind themselves before they show it to us. I dont trust it at all.

WHere I was I had to remind a few people that the results elsewhere didn’t matter
They couldn’t understand why I was so cal pm and it was because some didn’t realise we just had to not lose anymore

The other thing I should have said is I want to give a shout out to Antonin Kinsky. When he had those couple of slips against Atletico and Tudor subbed him off I thought it would be the last time we saw him in a Spurs shirt. But bloody hell he has really played his part in the last few games. He is the reason we drew with Leeds with the save on the line and off the post and the reaction save at the end. And again today. After the psychological blow of being subbed off after 20 mins in the champions league to come back and perform like he has takes some doing. After the season we have had he must be up there for our player of the season. Should this be in the Kinsky thread? Fair play to him

Little bit tipsy and heatstruck after today .. I like to try to write poetry mainly as a journal for my feelings but fudge it today here it is

Year after year, through hope joy and despair,

This season brought optimism, mixed with brickloads of fear.

Through traffic, cancelled plans, and many missed events. We still stood by our club, despite the results and all that it ment.

Through heartache and ecstasy never in equal measure.

My football club, my football friends and football family we stay together.

This bond, that seems at times like a curse, is also a lesson that in life you dont allways come first.

So pick your badge young and know that it matters.

Then support through thick and thin or your integrity shatters.

Yid army

Last minute save v Wolves aswell.

On a side note hope we batter Leeds next season. Seem a few of their fans having a love in with West Ham fans. Saying they hope they lose to them etc and going by their performance today looks like they might have been trying to achieve that.

Of course they all know what we could become. Can't blame them!!

Yeah, I’m seeing a lot of our fans being angry at other fans for wanting us to go down. If say Man United were in a similar situation, I’d definitely want them to go down as well, so can’t really blame them.
