***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC v Everton, Sun May 24th, 4.00pm, The Lane***

Another bout of IBS has kicked in, thanks to Spurs and a few other factors

More sickening though is seeing the Sky ads every break for the The Battle to stay up. They got what they wanted. (The battle for 6th was never going to sell their product)
You can call me paranoid (granted we dont help ourselves), but I swear Sky have engineered this, 2 VAR decisions in the last 2 games denying us a penalty (towing the line for Sky, just one awarded and this would be a non-event today.

Said it a few days ago, I am convinced there is going to be a late penalty in one of the 2 games if its still in the balance heading into stoppage time

The decision to not give Everton a pen against West ham as well, that was deliberate.

It was, but IIRC I think Everton did score from the resulting corner.might be wrong, but SKY/VAR weren't to know that. (They must have been gutted)
I don't think they got a corner, which was utterly bizarre as the ref admitted it hit his hand but it was accidental.
Unless I'm getting it mixed up with another incident.

The day is here , nervous. Maybe it’s the situation we are in, but all I can think about is some of the last day of the season horror shows we’ve had. West Ham and Saudi Sportswashing Machine come to mind instantly.

If I had to put money on it. Championship bound is where I’d have us at 6pm this evening. Can’t see who puts the ball in the net for us.

Leeds missing a few does not help. See them losing down the road.
If we don't let in a goal.... we're golden.

Going to be hard to block out the noise. I’m utterly convinced West Ham are beating Leeds - they’re at home, they HAVE to win regardless and outside of the first 20minutes of Saudi Sportswashing Machine they’ve actually battled well.

We have to have the mid set of it doesn’t matter what they do, because it’s in our hands in that if we get a point or three, it simply doesn’t matter what they do.

Problem is anxiety will breed in the stadium and the murmurs that start going round if (when) West Ham score is going to add to the nerves and players may make a mistake. It’s almost a shame we can’t cut off WiFi signal for a day so fans in the stadium have no choice but to focus solely on the game on the pitch.

Nervous energy has kicked in. Up at 4.30, washed the car at 5.30, my watch says my activity is unusually high for this time of day 🤣
:).

It's a beautiful day, an archetypal relaxing Sunday one might say?. I don't do chores on a day like this......

But Im doing chores....
one after another...
6 music up load to drown out and bash down any head thoughts that creep in (too loud you can't think, ideal)
Everyone within 100yds....leave me alone.

I’ll try. I’ll tell them the left phalange is not working.

How is the tension in your house today?
HIgh tension - but all on my side.
He's convinced West Ham are relegated, has been for a while, and won't listen to me trying to explain how good we are at messing up.
So we mainly don't talk about it at all.

Quietly confident actually, much more optimistic than before Leeds at home. We should be able to get a point at home to Everton with so much riding on it. Right?

Depends also which Everton turns up. They are a bit like us, they look better away. If they play like they did last week v Sunderland, we should not be losing.
Got to be honest though, based on our records v other premier league teams, I think most of us would have picked Everton at home for a must-win game on the last day, we have a great record v them, but...this is such a crunch game, previous history goes out of the window

Much tougher game. My fear is Porro today. That lad on left for them is a handful. Full backs nightmare. Porros 1-1 defending is dreadful. Think they’ll target him.

My fear is squarely with Oliver - he’s just the kind to relish NOT giving a 50/50 in our favour just so he can lap up the ‘he wasn’t biased in favour of a ‘big’ club’ narrative BS.

Let’s hope I’m wrong…
