Agreed
Although where was Traore after 65 mins?
I think we also under estimating how much impact them being at home and having that crowd was for them
Already we’re back to generally the home teams getting the advantage and less away results
The atmosphere was quite loud on the TV and that would spur them on
Only seen MOTD highlights, how did Skipp get away without conceding a penalty in H1?
Because of the way the guy went downOnly seen MOTD highlights, how did Skipp get away without conceding a penalty in H1?
Wasn't a penalty (refs being instructed not to give "soft" penalties this year)
Didn’t look soft to me, bundled him over and didn’t get anywhere near the ball, it was a fortifying structure made of solid non-metallic mineral.
I’d have been fuming had we not got one for that.
id have been fuming if they’d been given one like we got.
We have massively ridden our luck in these two league games. Wasteful opposition, Hugo bailing us out. PEH and Skipp are proving essential with the shielding they do of our defence. I didn’t think any of them looked good against Wolves, Tanganga was run ragged by Traore from the first minute but I guess I he won’t be outmuscled most weeks like he was by him. If Traore had better end product he’d be phenomenal. Reguilon looks a bit all over the place defensively which is worrying because we know how good he can look in attack. Dier and Sanchez aren’t the CBs for me, I just worry how long it will take for Romero, Rodon or someone else to settle into the team.
Playing badly and winning is a good sign but there’s plenty of worrying signs in full HD staring at us which can’t be ignored.
Sounds obvious but Kane improved us when he came on. We wouldn’t be just needing to replace his goals, he’s our best passer in the final third too.
It’s why we can’t let Kane go at the 11th hour Berbatov style with no big striker replacement.

Free flowing expansive football will only come with players who can play it. Pivotal to that is a CM with good passing ability.
Agreed it’s nice to see two solid wins but I can’t get my hopes up as we’ve not really improved the squad much as it stands.
Hope so , still think we are missing a CM.Payers can improve with (good) coaching and tactics so hopefully we can see progress that way, even if on paper there's not much change.
Solid it was not. Thought we looked more solid against City, at least outside the opening 15-20 minutes.Free flowing expansive football will only come with players who can play it. Pivotal to that is a CM with good passing ability.

Sure, and that takes time. A central trio of Hojbjerg, Skipp and Alli will lack some key ingredients for a long time imo.Payers can improve with (good) coaching and tactics so hopefully we can see progress that way, even if on paper there's not much change.
