Indeed. Vertonghen has actually got himself into the perfect defensive position there. He is level with Janmaat so if Dacoure has gone too early he will be offside. He is also covering Deulofeu's run and can get out to Janmaat if instead of crossing he keeps the ball and starts to come inside having beaten Rose.
 
Back 3 left flat-footed. Aurier who's playing higher up the pitch not tracking his runner. Rose, a beat behind to close the cross. It is hard to defend a runner like that. But the 3 CBs should be alive to it.

The other post-mortem is be should we scoring more than a goal a game. We almost did enough second half. I think the difference to last season is we'd wear down teams. Second half about 75 mins Watford were out on their feet. Subs helped them, and they hung in there. Last year we nicked it at the death 2-1.

Let's show some patience with Poch. He needs to get Ndombele in there. And we have LeCelso to come. Not easy for Spurs fans to accept us being substandard, as we're used to rolling over these sides, but hang in there, Poch will turn it around. Another manager might not.

He has been at it all season, there have been a few other concessions where I've sighed at how he simply has not made an effort to get there or put his body in for a block.
