I had hoped in some ways we could you through this have without using dele so he could miss the international break and get extra rest for the run in.

Now Southgate will pick him, Rose, Kane and probably Dier now and three of them are only just back.

In the case of Dier and Alli it might help them to get a game under their belt for sharpness , agree Kane and Rose could be tested though.
