+ OMT - Spurs vs Man Utd +

Oh just saw the pitch. It doesnt look THAT bad.

The thing is if theyre concerned about health and safety of fans going to the game then they should have called it off ages ago as im sure by now most people will either be on their way or will have made it safely.

They should have called it off a while ago. I could deal without football for a weekend. haha. im watching Breaking bad im in with the hip crowd

Yeh dont you worry about sitting in your bedroom about those people who havent been able to go or ones who are trying really hard to get there in the bad weather

Weren't you the one earlier saying that we would never call the game off as we're not bent like Arsenal or that if it was called off, it would be a ridiculous thing to do as it is the fan's individual responsibility to assess whether or not it is too dangerous for them?

Mumorn seems to be agreeing with your earlier sentiments...

You'll never be in with the hip crowd DHSF. You're too far gone.

I agree.

By the time people start getting there, the pitch inspection would probably still not have been done, or whilst it's being done people will be on there way. You either call it off earlier to give people notice or you just get on with it. I'm sure people know of the icy conditions so they'd prioritise and try leave earlier etc?

Just had a call. Game is going to be called off

Will be announced by 3pm but decision made

Don't shoot the ITK

If it was off they would say now why delay it for 30 mins and get even more fans into the area, at least if they did it now a lot of fans could turn back or stay at the stations where they are now

Not doubting you, but if that is correct they should be announcing now and not 3pm, those extra 30mins could make a difference to a few fair fans that are still planning to go

We used to play Sunday footie on ice as kids (felt like broken glass!) don't make them like they use too *humph*

Because of all the cogs in Premier League football, the fans are the most insignificant I'm afraid.

No restbite, still snowing and the roads are starting to cover. That said, my road has been fairly quiet.

I was 38 when I played my last game on a ice bound pitch, they just swept the lines clear, I thought at the time that's enough and never played again, do they still use wintergreen?.
