OMT Spurs vs Geordies 7.30 Tuesday 10th Feb

They were better than us at just about everything in the first half. They absolutely dominated. Could easily have scored more than the one they did score. Obviously difficult to know how much of that was them being good at stuff or us being bad at stuff. But they were all kinds of better than us at least, at just about everything. It didn't look like two teams struggling for form and with injuries. It looked like one team being completely outclassed by the other.

And, again, we just couldn't attack, couldn't progress the ball, couldn't sustain possession. That's not all on a Saudi Sportswashing Machine team being good at defending imo. We've seen that a lot this season.

When we got at them in the second half we could see that they too were vulnerable defensively.

They repelled us well in the first half and dominated possession. Then got back in a deep low block making it hard to penetrate them. They had so many corners and pressure and couldn't convert. Personally don't think there was very good in attack.

It's clear we're never winning another league game under Frank. He's doubling down on his very poor tactical plan, a sort of Wish version of Mourinho. It's slightly less negative when we play with a back three but ever since he took over, he made George Graham's team look attractive compared to what he's served up this season. It's just one horrible performance after the other.

It would be suicidal to throw a new manager to the wolves by appointing him for the Arsenal game so I suppose we're going to keep on losing until the NLD and then someone else will have to find a way to sort out this mess.

The only thing I'd say in Frank's favour is that we were playing with zero momentum last season, too. Our play's been slow and pedestrian for a year and a half but, at least, we used to look resilient. Now, we look like we're waiting for the other team to put us out of misery as soon as the whistle goes.

On an individual note, Gray didn't deserve to be on the losing side, I thought, but on the other hand, Spence's positioning has been absolutely abject (at some point, I stopped watching the ball).

We may well lose to Woolwich regardless, but he can’t have that game. There are twelve days before it, a good amount of time for someone to come in today and work with this team, get some spirit and some fight going and go from there.

If we then lose it as we all expect you never know there may be a bit of bottle shown which we can then use to go to the likes of Fulham and the other games we need to win, if we leave it 12 days, let him get us hammered then replace him, we’re soon back to CL games and if nothing else weekly fixtures, the club need to give someone all of these 12 days we have now.
