Davies in my eyes fudges up big time there. That would not have happened had he pressured Brady, but he stood off him and gave him all the time in the world to pick the pass.
I said this in the Chelsea game thread -- and it will continue to be the case until Poch and his team sorts it out:
"Every team will set up to play the same way against us. Sit deep pack the centre of the pitch. Hit us on the break. Rather than criticise their approach we need to devise a strategy/tactics to counter this approach.
We need better wide players. A better ball player in the DM - not Wanyama. More pace later in the game for the counter attack.
And we also need to recognise that playing a pressing game for 90 minutes on the Wembley pitch might not be feasible."
Poch will be incensed. Didn't take our chances on the break. But our high line and press was clearly not even close to working. They got through on every attack. Utter shambles.
