I'm certainly happy with his contribution to the game.

Lamptey is a very impressive player. Has more to his game than pace, he is going to cause a lot of problems for many teams as the season goes on.

There's a mentality issue. When we go ahead, we stop being forward-thinking. We're all too happy to pass the ball around or backwards. Whereas at 0-0 we're pushing, forcing them back. We need to not cede initiative and keep the same mentality as we started with.

I think our lack of speed at CB is a concern when it comes to pushing up because Lampty has wings and Llallana is a lock-picker. Our FBs have to be smart. I'd still push 10 yards up the pitch but I think we are getting caught worrying myself.

I agree but I kind of don't believe he alone will make the difference. The problem is structural and deeper, Sissoko and Hojberg aren't good enough as pair to play through the Brighton press. Maybe if we bring on GLC and drop him deeper, maybe move Lamela central that could work?

I agree GLC is better deeper and what to seen bin and Ndombele in the same team. I just can’t see him leaving ndombele on and Dele is probably the closest we have to him.
Just realised Vinicius isn’t on the bench, was going to suggest him as an option to let Kane drop in as a 10, I really don’t like Lamela centrally!

of shellshock, but I think anyone watching Antwerp has their tactical blueprint on making things tough for us. This is a game for LoCelso. Had Tanguy not got that silly early yellow he'd be a major factor right now.

Likewise, my starting 11 would have Ndombele and GLC in it and I agree GLC seems better suited to playing deeper but I just don't know if that is the change Jose is likely to make considering the pressure we have been under.
