**OMT. Spurs-Hove Albion**

This is the worst half of football I've seen from us since the 6-0 up at City. It's so bad I can't see any way back...against fudging Brighton.

Shameful. I can't believe players arent trying. They just have no look of togetherness or proper way of playing.

Poch is a lame duck.

Agree. Utterly appalling. Doesnt look like there's any effort there. Gives the impression that the manager has lost the dressing room

This is appalling.

For 53 mins against Bayern it was a good game and I think we were OK. Then we capitulated.

Today with that mistake from Hugo, and the subsequent injury, Kane should have gathered our lot together and given them a gonading.

At 2 nil down we are not out of it, but we need some of that Dunkirk spirit that seems to be lacking this season so far. Heads drop too easily.

On the plus side, the Rugby was good earlier.

The only way this gets rescued is outright squad mutiny. The senior players need to take control here ala Argentina in the world cup.

That was shocking...

Can't help thinking that the Lloris injury shook the players and you couldn't have written a much worse start for us, but they need to get back to showing something...

Massive 15 minutes and second half for Pochettino. Dier has shown nothing to indicate that he deserves to be on the pitch, Winks is the obvious alternative. Alli for some movement and goal threat?

How is it Brighton look more like us than we do?

Well drilled, aggressive, good shape, attacking with numbers, and - frankly - should consider themselves unfortunate to be only 2-0 ahead.

Im still trying to digest this performance.

I am very happy Poch went 4231(ish), and for a fair part of the half I thought it was a much much better shape for us than the diamond has ever been. Broadly happier than I was on Tuesday in the first half, in so much as we werent run into the ground, the shape allowed us bodies always around the ball and a compactness.

Though, clearly, we werent playing particularly well. Slow, ponderous and like a bunch of strangers.

Im thinking its like they were getting into a new formation, we have all seen that sort of stilted performance when trying to work things out.

But as the half wears on Im thinking its more like they are just going through the motions, which isnt a good sign at all.

No player stands out as especially good or bad IMO, rather all just kind of 'meh'.

HUGE 15 minutes for Poch now, this game could well define his tenure with us.

Is it the game where the players officially downed tools and got him sacked, or the one where he finally got everyone going again - to be looked back on in time fondly as that moment when we got our brick together?

The worst thing is letting in crap goals. Hugo has to take the blame. When we needed some stability to let Dier find his feet, we gift a goal.

Would like Poch to get Son and Lamela tucked into midfield until we’re confident and have had some possession. Eriksen too. We’ve looked so open and unerloaded in the middle.

Poch has gone stale sadly and reached the end of his cycle with us. Only the very best are able to reinvent themselves and Poch just isn’t a great.

The other issue is the players know it.

HT 0-2. Frankly it could have been worse. Double sub for me at HT. Lamela and Dier off. Sanchez and Moura on. Three at the back. Sissy and Davies to wingbacks, Really nothing to lose now. We created just two half chances all half. Brighton could have had more. We are a total shambles all over the park at the moment. We looked leggy from the start. Our preparation for games really is shocking at the moment,

A double sub when we’ve already used one?

Courageous policy, Minister.

Really don’t think Poch is to blame here. The whole team is just in a rut, and Hugo’s ridiculous mistake in the second minute immediately digs us ten feet deeper.

All of the outfielders deserve to come off, however I'd get Winks on for Dier just to get some energy in midield, and maybe Moura for Lamela to add some pace

There's no spirit. That's the main problem, Brighton's strikers aren't large but they are winning everything in the air. I think Poch might have lost them. Perhaps they have got bored of the glass ceiling too. We are unlucky that there are two absolutely great teams in our league.

Even if everything is conspiring against Poch, a new manager might still be the solution.
