***OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Palace***

This is the sort of ugly victory that some people call a Champions result. It was nervy, but Gazza between the sticks, Dier's amazing reading of the game and Son's cool composure brought us home.

Good to see Rose back and getting a warm reception when he came off.

Phew!

Now for two draws in the other games with a few twanged hammy's, several red cards, a brawl, a melee and some pizza begin chucked about.

It's a 1 horse or 7 horse race

1 City 10 9 1 0 35 6 29 28
2 Utd 10 7 2 1 23 4 19 23
3 Spudz 11 7 2 2 20 7 13 23
4 Cheatz10 6 1 3 18 10 8 19
5 Arsez 10 6 1 3 19 13 6 19
6 Pool 11 5 4 2 21 17 4 19
7 Burnz 11 5 4 2 10 9 1 19

That was rubbish. Son scored with just about his only good action of the game. He's had a couple of these games before when he has done just nothing right, but scored an important goal. Can't say too many positive things about the team today. Gazzaniga made a couple of important saves, but he also made one big mistake that could have proved costly. Dier, Vertonghen and Sanchez were decent. That was about it on the positive side. Sissoko and Dembele were decent in the second half perhaps.

We have to figure how to play better in this kind of game though. We've had four similar games now at home against mid to bottom table teams, and there has been no improvement. We have been quite simply terrible in them. If we don't improve, we'll give away a lot of points at Wembley this season.
