The club mentioned that Rose was struggling, so no reason not to mention any other new doubts or absentees, so assume its just rotation with regards Sanchez, Trippier and Dier.

The club obviously see the importance of Foyth in the coming seasons and are keen to give him game time where possible this season. So a back three and Davies on the bench probably meant they felt they could leave Sanchez out today.

Trippier is no surprise as all four full backs are available and KWP perhaps on the bench over him due to similar reasons regarding Foyth.

Wanyama on the bench over Dier is a surprise but perhaps big Vic is showing signs of returning to his best in training!
 
Would have personally preferred to see the same back 5 as against Dortmund. Burnley are long ball and free kick merchants and Sanchez's height would have been useful. Plus would have loved to see another marauding SuperJan performance.
 
So Kane returns, guess he must be ready.

You'd expect the home team to come at us, but this is Burnley and even at home they seem happy to lump long balls forward with most of their outfield players never leaving their own half.

Nice early goal for us and they will fold.

A shame they haven't kept Hart in goal. Would have meant guaranteed relegation, but much better for us.

I've got geniuses Tim Sherwood and Andy Townsend bricking on about how shaky Juan Foyth is.

The media really do invent an agenda and just run with it blindly don't they?

Sherwood claimed 'Burnley don't need to try and play football, just knock it long to their strikers.' Maybe they should try play Badminton eh Timmeh?
