Whatever the team is, it'd be so good to just get some positive momentum going in to the well needed break with a solid performance. Thoroughly hoping that we won't see any complacency, you'd imagine Jose has been drilling this in to them and all signs of malcontents appear to have dissipated so the message should be well understood.

Games will be coming thick and fast once we're back in to it, totally understand if we go as strong as possible and feel that we will do. Maybe Lamela will get a start and help us confirm a very busy time ahead. As always, would like to see some thought out subs, give the likes of Foyth and Skipp 25 / 30 minutes if possible. Am somewhat surprised there wasn't a move for Juan and presume it'll be on the cards if he doesn't have much of a run in the team next window.

If the likes of Ings, Redmond and Hojberg (SP?!) + J W P are on I think they will have moments but ideally the defense will hold strong. Consecutive clean sheets would a lovely sign of turning a corner, but that may be asking for too much I suppose!

With the squad being settled as to what we have for the remainder of the season, some work on the training pitch and some rest where needed can go a long way.

Total brick OMT by the way.

Not so much the rest after, it's the recovery time between an energy sapping game on Sunday and tomorrow night. If a player's not quite there, I'd rather not risk them only to seem them get a muscular injury because of playing too much.

Agreed. No way should Dele be considered for tomorrow even if deemed fit (enough)

When? 5th February 2020

Where? White Hart Lane

Kick Off 7.45 pm

Score? Us Nil them 8 (all Le Tissier)

Right... FA Cup replay, time to retake our crown as FA Cup specialists and win some silverware... personally I think we'll stroll it... the worm has turned and we're now on a roll after Sunday. Giving it some Gerry!

Spot on. Combined with being ready to put in a real shift today. Guessing there will be some moderate rotation. Lineup is difficult to guess, but we have decent options for Alli (Ndombele) and Winks (Dier, Gedson) at least. Lamela and Sessegnon could also get a start possibly giving us the option of starting Son or Moura on the bench.

Moura and Dele need to rest tonight. If we haven’t learnt from what happened with Kane than I’d be shocked.

Son can play up top. Lamela, Ndom, Gedson, Dier and Stevie will all benefit from more game time.

i think we will revert to norm for this one and struggle a bit.
expecting the other new boys to step up again for the win.

Bergwijn can't play as he wasn't registered for the first game.

Alli and Winks are the two for me that I'm mostly worried about losing to injuries. We have options for both, but imo the options are all either clearly inferior at the moment, have fitness issues or are unproven.

At least for Son and Moura we have Bergwijn. Though with more options I'd definitely like to see both given at least a bit of a breather (starting on the bench or coming off relatively early in the second half).

Trusting Mourinho to make some good decisions. He has the information on the players and we do have options for most positions. Think it's about finding a balanced approach, resting some whilst keeping some of the core players together.

FA Cup remains our only realistic hope of winning a trophy this season. But our performances have not been really convincing so far, needing replays against both Boro and Southampton. At least we are playing the replay against Southampton at home. We need to make sure of our home advantage to beat Southampton and progress to the next round. After all, we beat Southampton at home in the league earlier in the season. So, there is no reason why we cannot beat them again this time.

Our attack did well to help us beat Emirates Marketing Project. We have to make sure we are as clinical as that in this match. We cannot waste too many chances against other PL teams like Southampton. We need the likes of Son, Alli, Moura and Lamela to make use of any goal scoring chances they get. We really should try the long range shots more instead of always trying to dribble into goal. Too bad Berwijn is not eligible to play in this match.

Our midfield needs to be more consistent. There are still many questions marks over our midfield. Wish we had signed a defensive midfielder in the transfer window. Ndombele seems to be still struggling with his injury problems. Still not convinced of Dier or Winks. Too bad Sissoko is out injured until April. At least, the performance of Lo Celso have been encouraging lately. But he still needs to improve his finishing.

Our defence did well to keep the clean sheet against Emirates Marketing Project. It will be disappointing if we cannot stop Southampton scoring in this match. Want to see Alderweireld and Vertonghen play together in defence. Sanchez makes too many errors. Lloris did well to inspire us against Emirates Marketing Project. Hope he will be at his best to stop Southampton in this match.

All our games have been tough for us this season. Can see this being another tough match. Southampton will be fired up to prove a thing or two. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat Southampton and progress to FA Cup Round 5.

Any team news yet ?

There is no need to rest any players as we simply have to win this match to progress. As usual, we need to get an early goal to help us settle down and then go for more goals to kill the game off. We simply have to win in normal time as we have a poor record in the penalty shootouts. Let's hope we will do enough to beat Southampton and progress to the FA Cup Round 5 match against Norwich.

After Liverpool managed to sneak through yesterday we may as well forget about winning this cup. They'll go unbeaten and win a domestic double. Our only hope now is that they get peak Barca or Real in the next round of the CL.

The silver lining is that at least a Chelsea don’t get a bye to the QF.
