I swear we must purchase the most unintelligent players. The amount of time some of them have to lay off a forward pass and they hold and hold then either run into the opposition and lose it or stop and turn back and kill the momentum. Its so frustrating watching us sometimes

Problem is I think with the midfield structure. So the inverted full backs stay in the middle. One would expect the two central midfielders to be more advanced and in the tresquartista space. The other problem is the wingers are not those types that attack the opponent's fullback. No attempt to beat them and get in the cross. The opponents basically know what to expect.

First thing I noticed in the first game last season v Brentford was how positive everyone’s first touch was and how they always looked to pass forward.
Now…it’s slow, it’s backwards and sideways too often. I don’t get it.
