OMT - Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur

I thought he was supposed to be flexible and adapt to the strengths of the players we have?

3 at the back doesn't any of our players, except maybe Romero. We also can't afford to concede the midfield, or not press from the front, in a game we need to win (not draw)
Alright calm down lad. I agree, would prefer a back 4 but he seems to prefer 3-4-3 no?

If we don't get at least four points from the next two games, I wouldn't be at all confident we can stay ahead of Wet Spam, the way they're battling, in which case we'd be reliant on Forest or Leeds ending up worse off than us. We'll get nothing at Anfield, PGMOL will see to that.

Most formations just overbalance us with workhorse CMs. 4-4-2 because we don't have any fit wingers, and 4-3-3 lends to playing an industrious middle trio too.

I think we have to got 4-2-3-1. Have Gray as one of the two and Simons in the middle of the 3. It's what actually worked in our best performances this season (e.g. Dortmund)

I agree AND think that at moments like this we might sadly need to lean into the ugly industry side of things and just pound/batter out a win somehow with ugly football. I love the beauty of Tottenham, but for the next 11 games I want this club to do whatever it has to in order to get the points to stay up.

But industry has given us zero throughballs since about 2019. We're never going to score from open play, and we're not even good at set pieces. We can't keep repeating the same mistakes that got us into this situation. We need to be bold. 11 draws probably isnt even enough points

Who’d have thought that we’d actually be in an even worse PL predicament than we were 12 months ago!

Literally the most Tel has done in our kit

Considering our lack of playmakers in MF, I’d like to see Xavi play in the midfield 3 with two of Solanke/RKM/Richie up top.

Why not put our most creative player in a position where he is able to get on the ball more, with a couple of runners ahead of him?

Was going to say similar. If we’re going to go down let’s not do so with just one attacker in the line up. I really think with 2 up top we could cause some problems.

I’d also like to see Souza play so that we get natural crossing form both sides (hopefully Porro fit).

That gives Xavi 4 clear options. He can either go wide to one of the high wing backs or he can go more direct into the front 2.

For me, the only way with the current personnel we can do that right now is this:

Vic

Porro
Danso
VdV
Silva (correction - SOUZA)

Palhinha at base of diamond, Gray and Gallagher engine room, Xavi at tip.

Solanke
Richy

it allows Palhinha to drop in if Porro goes roving...and given he's our (current) best passer, then it would be good to set him free. I did have Muani in there for Xavi to play off, but truthfully, Solanke's our best hold-up forward.
I think it is imperative that if fit, we start Richy as much as possible right now. He has experience of these battles and is not afraid to do the nasty stuff to get the job done.

Today is the day we finally get our 1st PL win in 2026
Believe !!
I have woken up very strangely confident yesterday and today. Nothing to base it on and I was certain we’d beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine so I’m not exactly Nostradamus.

But I have confidence in Tudor. Today isn’t must win for me, Thursday is, but we’re gonna win today. 3-1 the mighty Spurs.

PS if you want some of what I’m drinking, it’s tequila on my corn flakes.

A win today would be massive and we could all breathe quite a bit easier. A 7 point gap to West Ham with 10 games to go would not be insignificant.

Whatever you want to think of us at the moment, without checking I'm pretty sure we have a good record in the PL against Fulham (waiting for someone to tell me I'm talking nonsense).

That usually counts for something even when out of form, and I don't think they are the worst side to face when you need points even if they are a decent outfit.

Don't know if we will win, but fancy us to get something today. COYS....
