OMT: Everton vs Mighty Spurs

2-2 draw and it will feel like a win for us
- kane hits the crossbar
- erisken goal disallowed for offside
- sissoko own goal
- dier, dembele yellow cards
- another loris howler
- 75% possession, 30 shots on goal

Sounds like Trippier is fit.
Expect same starting lineup we played v Burnley

-----------------Lloris------------------
Trippier--Alder-----Vert-----Davies
----------Dier------Dembele----------
----Eriksen----Alli-----Son-----------
----------------Kane-------------------

Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Aurier, Winks, Llorente, Sissoko, Foyth/KWP (prob no Janssen)

-----------------Lloris------------------
Trippier--Alder-----Vert-----Davies
----------Dier------Dembele----------
----Eriksen----Alli-----Son-----------
----------------Kane-------------------

Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Aurier, Winks, Llorente, Sissoko, KWP
This.

Or this:
Lloris
Dier--Alder--Vert
Trippier--Sissoko/Winks--Dembele--Davies
Eriksen--Alli
Kane
Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Aurier, Son, Llorente, Sissoko/Winks, KWP

Games at Goodison have generally ended in a draw for as long I can remember. This time I can see Llorente coming on around 65mins and grabbing the winner.

New boys in the XI. Probably a bit of wishful thinking, but I can't wait to see Sanchez and Aurier on the pitch. Decent bench too.

It looks like the badgers are excited about seeing Llorente in a Spurs shirt

These badgers warrant a re-post!!!!

By the way, for non Spanish speakers. Llorente is pronounced "Yorentay" . In Spain, a double L is pronounced as a Y - e.g. Marbella is "Marbayah".

It is a shame to be playing Everton after an international break where many of their players have had a two week rest. I would have preferred to have played them after one of their long Europa jaunts to some far flung land. Oh well. Must win anyway.

Unless Trippier is 100% fit (unlike against Burnley), Aurier should start. Excited to see the new boys in action. We could all do with a win and some cheering up!!!!

1-1. September Kane with one, and some bloke in blue for them. Probably Barkley - might want some revenge after we left him hanging on deadline day. :p

  • Everton are without a win in nine Premier League matches against Tottenham since a 2-1 victory in December 2012.
  • Despite this run, Spurs have only won one of their last 10 top-flight matches at Goodison Park: 1-0 on the last day of the 2014-15 season.
I feel like we often struggle against them (game raising clams), but surprised it's so long without a loss.
