Riz Ahmed's BAIT is brilliant. A real eye-opener. He is a great writer as well as actor, and the stories he tells here are exceptionally insightful as to what it is to be a Pakistani muslim in 2026 for those of us who are not. A brave, entertaining, funny and also sad piece of work.

I rewatched the Sopranos recently and just finished the weekend gone. Have to say watching it again I appreciated it more, realised its actually abit of a dark comedy as there are genuinely laugh out loud moments. One thing I will say, I didn't realise how bad the last season is compared to the rest, its not terrible by TV standards, but it tails off badly

I loved the last season, didn’t notice a drop off tbh? Clearly some episodes are better than others, but I thought overall it built nicely to the crescendo.

Excellent series, along with Boardwalk Empire.
Considering I don't see myself as a 'violent man' I amaze myself with how much I enjoy watching violent tv. Perhaps it's down to I know it's 'not real'.

From memory I thought season 4 was the weakest, except for the last episode that makes up for it. The show tackles a lot of important issues: rape, suicide, homosexuality and homophobia, family. One of my favourite episodes is the intervention with Chris. So many quotable lines just from that one scene alone. Paulie’s mini monologue is fantastic. When the guy leading the intervention says “no one’s attacking you” to Chris only for everyone to then kick the brick out of him two minutes later 😂

I also thought that Tony becomes more unlikeable as the show goes on. I didn’t like the way he treated Hesh for example.

Yeh thats why I found the last S the weakest, not just how he treated Hesh BUT the fact the gambling issue seemingly turns up one episode then goes. The season is very much like that, loads of odd one episode arcs

Also, in the episode where he's Kevin Finnerty and can't find his bag, I always interpreted the bag as representing his life. I found those episodes quite random tbh.

I also found Tony to be unnecessarily mean to the corrupt cop Makazian.
