No idea if this series has been mentioned on here but it is the bee's nuts. Don't remotely have to be a hoops fan to dig the human interest story lines about a real estate hustler (Dr. Jerry Buss) gaining ownership of the fabled LA Lakers NBA franchise before they were fabled.

Comedic actor John C. Reilly is brilliant in the role of Buss as is little known actor Quincey Isaiah in the role of superstar-in-the-making/ladies man extraordinaire Earvin "Magic" Johnson. The story line is brilliant and based on actual events. The production is top notch and there is an incredible mix of comedy and drama. Highly recommended. Definitely not for kids.

It’s a good show. Are they doing a second season or is it one and done? Impressive cast; Jason Segel, Adrien Brody, John C Reilly.

Someone recommended True Detective to me and have not been able to make it past the first one. Too all over the shop for me

Might give it another go but it seems a hard watch

Don't think there is a better network than HBO, their track record is unreal

It's difficult to take serious any list that has lost or Mr robot on it.

I enjoyed that at times. Bit crap for large parts though.

That episode where Elliot and his sister break in and hack a building, that was done with no spoken dialogue was great.

Ones I've not seen :

The Wire
Fargo
Battlestar G
Freaks & Geeks
Mad Men
Mindhunter
Heartstopper
IASIP
When they see us
Deadwood
Broadwalk
Vikings
Hillhouse
The Americans
Justified

Anything stand out as must watch? Most of them I've put off cos they look brick, a fair few not on the above list but I had to give up because they were brick (Mr Robot, Peaky Blinders, Madolorian, House etc)

Mr Inbetween seems a glaring ommission from the top 50
