Their rise has also coincided with the regression of City and Liverpool, but you have to be there to take advantage when the top teams are having off seasons. If City can remain within 6-9 points by March then I still think scum will get nervy but they’ve got to keep them within arms length otherwise they will run away with it. Let’s hope they don’t pick up too many trophies whilst they are a very good team.

Richarlison was Kane’s replacement but let’s be honest, he hasn’t worked out. I actually went into the 22/23 season thinking we could sneak third and maybe challenge but we slipped and Arsenal went to another level. It’s quite depressing 😂
The league is all but over. No way will they blow it this season. Best squad in the league and dare i say it, an excellent manager.
We have regressed so much since peak Posh, but right no we are truly abysmal.
I mean would Bentancour get a game for any other PL club? The answer is no chance.

Hope all is ok. It was like the worst possible combination of our performances this season, along with our usual display at the Emirates. Definitely do not watch. It was a 1:30am kick off here and I wrote my Monday off to watch it live. Regretting it massively.
Yeah all is as well as can be expected. Thanks.

Just hope we can show some bounce back and those long needed improvements in our attacking/possession game can come sooner rather than later.

Having (fortunately) been unable to watch the game on Sunday due work, I’ve just seen the Eze offside goal for the first time. What an utter disgrace! I’m sure it wouldn’t have affected the result but the last thing they need is to be given free goals. Of greater concern to the wider game of football is that VAR is STILL unable to correctly make clear and obvious calls like this one, over and over and over again. It’s truly macaronic to miss this kind of thing. I hear a lot of calls along the lines of ‘we need ex pros to run VAR’. We absolutely don’t. We need people that aren’t totally inept running VAR.

I'd just get rid of it. Its positives don't outweigh its negatives in my opinion, and I feel it's destroying the game. It's killed virtually all spontaneity and excitement; it's made on-field officials lazy and more likely to defer making a decision, and the really difficult calls it could actually be useful for, they don't want to make half the time because of the 'clear and obvious' nonsense. I was bang in favour of the idea of it at one time, but now I think it's absolutely the worst thing that's ever happened to the sport.

Unlike you i was really against it when it first came in as i thought it would be crap and so it as proved. It good to see you and others i meet at games are begining to see it a Farse and the game is worse because of it. Someone has made money out of it though so sadly i feel we will have to suffer it.

I'm afraid it's only the beginning: they are about to introduce more and more 'technology' in football and, as you rightly stated, some people are making a lot of money off it.

It wasn't great in the Blatter days, but FIFA has been under US control for quite a few years now, so you should expect football to try and close the gap on American sports. So unless something drastic happens, it will be more stats, more tech and more money for the foreseeable future.

Sadly i fear you have got it spot on, i forgot who said it a few years ago but it went something like[ there used to be a great game over there]. Sadly the money men have taken the game over in various ways and the game is worse for it. IMO.

I'm all for it, I watch a lot of NFL, it's not perfect, but it works very very well.
