You have a profound anus. Sounds like a medical condition. What is it with the copy and paste stuff?

I dont see seasons as segments.... I see it as a season. Last season we threw away a 10 point lead this season 7 - not as bad but still very poor. Maybe thats me though.
If a season doesnt end in March, a season also doesn't matter if you lose 5 games straight or scattered over a 38 game period. You will still get the same points and thus the same position.
I agree partly about the second point but we have a strategy and I very much our strategy says to finish above Arse - it will say to finish top four or CL places.
no, i get your point
how about wages being an important motivating factor for those clubs who pay more than us, so their players somehow subconsciously try harder because they want to maintain that level of salary by finishing in the top 4. Once Spurs players hit the home stretch, they dont have the same motivation
People watched us drop a significantly larger than 7 point lead against Arsenal last season. People watched Manchester United, one of the better teams in Europe, managed by probably one of the best managers ever drop 8 points against City last season in way fewer games than remained when we had 7 points this season.
People then watch us drop that 7 point lead this season, but insist that the problem must be with the club, with the team, with the manager or with the chairman. Not with their own perception of what constitutes a safe lead.

Ah ok i see. So the opposition didn't try as hard but during the month of march they suddenly decided to put more effort in and this was due to wages? i take it by your logic, we obviously slipped up because subconciously our players realised their wage bonus for finishing 4th wasn't of the standards they were expecting?
By offering them higher wages once we start making more money. EVERY club sells players,

My post referred to the specific point highlighted in skyfarer's post. That's why I wrote "Very good point" - not "Very good post".
Your post is therefore irrelevant to what I wrote.
After 20 games we both had the same number of points.
Then we beat Reading and drew with QPR and United while they drew with Southampton and lost to United and Chelsea.
We then stayed 4 points ahead until the NLD. That's where we got the 7-point lead.
After that we lost to Liverpool and Fulham while they got 4 points off Everton and Swansea.
Since then the difference has been them drawing with United and us drawing with Everton, Wigan and Chelsea.
To summarize: Since NLD our toughest opponents have been Chelsea, Everton, City, Liverpool. Arsenal have played United and Everton
We are most likely to finish 5th.
Are we upset with that? Not really. We've had a good season, we got to the quarter finals of a European competition, we are on course to better our points total, we have been outstanding away from home, we have beat Man Utd at Old Trafford, we won a North London Derby, we beat the Champions at home, we drew away against the European Champions despite falling behind twice, we've got one of the best goalkeepers in the world, one of the best footballers in the world who just won 3 personal awards.
Sure we might be a little aggrieved that we have failed to wrap up Champions League football before the last day of the season with silly little losses like the one at home to Fulham or even Wigan earlier in the season or squandering a one goal lead with minutes to go at Everton only to go on and lose. This happens to every club though, in fact since that Everton game I think we've learnt from mistakes when it comes to conceding late goals. We are learning as a team with a young manager who wants to take us forward.
Can that be the end of it?
I was under the impression that everyone plays everyone else twice?

meth ?
I would have agreed with you their but youre grammar was poor.
my worry is exactly that this will be the end of it, that this will be a peak, that next season we won't even challenge 4th place let alone secure it
