**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Tony Coton, Terry Phelan, Kinkladze, Uwe Rosler - as a city fan surely they were the proper days.

Ok they didn't win anything but at least the players were there cos they wanted to be?

I can't no. Many are yes. A Chelsea supporting mate of mine, who has a season ticket, says that he's seen it all now and would genuinely not care if they returned to the days pre Abrahimovic. How would you feel?

I'm not going to lie, it would be horrible. Under Pearce, we scored 10 goals at home all season. Going back to those days after seeing players like Aguero, Silva and Yaya would be horrific. However, I'd start appreciating the little things more. Every goal scored when you're lower in the league is a rare event and enjoyed much more. These days when we score, I stand up, shout "Yes!" and clap. I used to jump around whenever Emile Mpenza hit the back of the net.
I always tell my United supporting mates that they don't know what supporting a team is like until you've done it when you're in the bottom half.

Your Chelsea supporting mate sounds like a twunt.

when were City anyone's second team?

- but yeah this has all been done to death on here with some rather ungraceful City fans before, don't think there's any mileage left in the debate myself anymore. personally i think it's good to have an outside fans perspective on here - maybe you could give your view on the discussion taking place in the 'goodbye top 4 thread'?

Yeah, Coop, was he called? That guy was embarrassing. I'll have a look over there now.

He's the only Chelsea fan I know who talks sense. Twunt he isn't.

I remember going to the Lane in the 90/00's when we were really bad and it was more enjoyable.

Jackson Martinez another 2 goals tonight... 25 league goals in 23 league starts.

These strikers are out there but we won't touch them, we seem to wait for other European teams to test them.

That's fair enough. I'm not going to tell you what to think. But we've been laughed at by the whole football world when we were wearing our lead boots, hated isn't so much worse. Besides, I'd rather be the team everyone hates than everyone's 'second team'. It's patronising. People liking us because of the success of the team we hate most. You personally might not be jealous, but a lot of the 'global hatred' is fuelled by jealousy. You can't really deny that.

Wasting time and playing for a draw last day of the season when you needed a win to stay up! :ross:

Clint Hill is dire. Certainly in my worst eleven of the season. Funnily enough he was pretty awesome at White Hart Lane earlier in the season and I believe he got man of the match.

Really annoyed with Fulham. They have really affected our top 4 chance by beating us and losing to both Arsenal and Chelsea. But Sunderland did well to beat Everton. Can see them making it difficult for us when we play them.

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Agger, Carragher, Enrique; Henderson, Lucas; Downing, Gerrard, Coutinho; Suarez

Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Bertrand, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Torres

For the next 2 hours I'm a Liverpool fan (urgh), then it's a long shower to try and cleanse myself.

Liverpool win and Villa to get a point would be the ideal scenario. If United are crowned champions they're likely to be very flat at the Emirates.

If they get a win from one of Aston Villa, Southampton, or Stoke (and I think they will) I don't think we'll have too tough a time from them. More worried about Wigan to be honest.

They'll be safe by the time we play them. They can still hurt us though. Anyway, all that matters is the very next game.
