Our bench is getting stronger by the week. Already we have Lamela, Wanyama, Llorente and Trippier needing minutes to keep them happy/match fit/on form. Add Toby and Winks into the mix by the end of the month.

Just keep Sissoko away from the pitch for once please Poch.

Southampton are actually third from bottom! Damn. Pellegrino still in the job somehow? We should smack them. Hopefully we'll go out there fighting for every ball, get in their faces, aggressive from the start, and don't think that the match wins itself. As long as we go out all guns blazing, we'll win.

Good thing their fans demanded Puel was sacked as he was so negative.
 
We have been in good form recently, winning 4 of our last 5 league matches. We need to continue that good form to stay in the top 4 race. We have good record against Southampton, winning 9, drawing 1 and losing 1 of our last 11 matches against them. We cannot afford to drop any more points against bottom teams like Southampton. We need to win this match to have any chance of finishing in top 4 this season.

Kane will be our key player again in this match. He scored the hattrick when we beat Southampton 5-2 a few weeks ago. Hope he can continue his goal scoring run. It will be great if he can get another hattrick ! Others like Son, Eriksen and Alli have been in good form recently as well. It will help us greatly if they can continue this good form and get a goal or two. Lamela have not played much since coming back from injury. Wish he can start this match or atleast come on early in the second half.

Our midfield is really boosted by the return of Wanyama and Dembele from injuries. Wish both will be fully fit to start this match. They are our best midfield partnership even if the likes of Dier, Sissoko and Winks have done their part. Really thought Sissoko will step up this season but his finishing touches are still poor. Dier and Winks are too error prone. We do need to buy more quality players to our midfield. For this match. hope Wanyama and Dembele will be at their best to help us win.

Our defence have been conceding easy goals since Alderweireld got injured. Wish Alderweireld will return soon. Sanchez still needs to be more composed and avoid giving away freekicks near our goal. Lloris and Vertonghen need to guide Sanchez more. Our defence need to be more alert and avoid silly mistakes. We have not kept too many clean sheets in recent matches. It will be disappointing if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match.

As long as our rivals are winning, we need to continue winning to stay in top 4 race. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat Southampton to stay in touch with our rivals.
 
Any team news yet ?

Southampton are desperate for win and will make it difficult for us. We need to get an early goal to help settle our nerves and then go for more goals to kill the game off. Let's hope we will put up a good performance and get a convincing win to move closer to our rivals in the top 4 race.
