I likes it....B movie trash nut decent

Aliens was brilliant, bit of a throw back to the originals

Went to see Megalopolis and it was utter garbage......made zero sense and was a film for film sake

Agreed about Megalopolis, surprised to discover that it was shorter than The Substance as it felt like days had passed by the time it finally finished

Anyone brave enough to watch that GHod awful new Terrifier film?

See that multiplexes showed the first 2 Terrifier movies as a double feature the other week to whet people’s appetite but The Substance was enough gore for me for September!

I might use Unlimited card to check out 3rd film though, as guessing the plot isn’t too important.

I had a different take. Coppola's death note Swansong, kitchen-sinked it with all sorts of chicanery, I thought his 'plot/story' was fairly simple (albeit the strands were flying in wind) and there was enough gratuitouness to keep me entertained. I liked the fact that it was a totally unapologetic film with zero fudges given for anything other than what he wanted; punk rock at its truest!

That's film and art for you I suppose, the last part absolutely, thay was the positive take away for me. But I also felt that fed I to the rest and why IMO it was a heavily laden mess. Stellar cast without many standout performances and some truely odd ones in to boot.

Maybe I need to watch again, let's see ha

I think -in fairness- everything you've said is equally accurate. I suppose it depends on the approach to it. I personally decided not to read reviews and committed to seeing it on the biggest screen left available. I also went in giving Coppola a lot of leeway. That all helped TBH...

Saw Conclave. Prescreening at bfta. I really enjoyed it but was tripping on some mushroom chocolate 😂😅 nice film and Fines is spectacular. Stanly tuchel pretty awesome too. Storyline was a bit too obvious. But I liked the film and how it makes a viewer question their relationship to Catholicism
