Caught a film called 'Never let me go' with Keira Knightley the other night. Interesting, although a touch weird

I'm struggling to work out how a black & white silent movie in this day and age can be so brilliant. What makes it so good?

sick to death of seeing Meryl Streeps stupid 'look at me im Margret Thatcher' boat plastered over every other bus in town

watched 30 mins of friends with benefits & mila kunis. had to rub one out. will continue tomorrow.

I assume you're talking about the artist so will attempt to answer your question.

I think I enjoyed it so much because it is a refreshing cinematic experience. Talk comes pretty cheap in your average conveyor belt hollywood dirge so this is a nice change.

Being able to focus on the score is rewarding as well, hearing the masterful use of different instruments and their subtle nuances, I know I sound like a dingdong saying it, but it really is something special.

And from a visual point of view, it looks stunning, no more to say about it than that really.

It is a clever film. Yet simple at the same time. I'd really recommend you go see it, at the cinema to get the whole experience, hunched over your mac book pro in the dark with a youporn tab in the background won't really give you the same appreciation of the film.

Just watched 'In Time' witj Justin Timberlake and some bird - enjoyed the concept of the film and thought there were a few very good scenes within. Worth a watch - 7/10

Black snake moan
Samuel L Jackson - singin the blues, and Christina Ricci getting her tits out and being chained up

whats not to like?

apart from a plot with holes you could drive a tank through

Cheers - I guess I have to experience it myself. Although I can see what you're getting at. I saw There Will Be Blood at the cinema, and I remember reading beforehand that the forst 15 mins or so were just Daniel Day Lewis digging. Nothing else. And I thought it was going to brick me to tears. But no, it was brilliant.

Same with large portions of Wall-E as well. Most of that could be a silent movie as it's just sound effects.

And yes, my youporns are generally on silent, else I wake up the missus a few doors down. So I'm starting to understand now.

I saw the Lincoln Lawyer on BR recently - McConaughey did a good job of a 'serious' role, I thought. Decent flick for a Sunday night

this was good. worth a shout for those that haven't seen it.

Watched War Horse last weekend, it was OK, way to hollywoodised for my taste, the wife really liked it.

Watched 'The Descendants' tonight, was very good I thought, very sad and yet it carried enough dry humour to balance it beautifully, again my wife really liked it.
