Finally got round to seeing looper, good film.
Sinister is a good horror, if not slightly fudged up in places and with one of the biggest horror scares that has been seen lately. The cinema was full of screams when the moment happened!!
I'm aware of the controversy there...I just like his films, like his vibe. I get it though, purists feel he fudged that up and I can appreciate that viewpoint.
The Ring is very good, nice one. Did you see Sinister yet? Elements of The Shining (seems to be a recurring thing recently) but nonetheless a very good ride IMHO...
One classic missing is The Omen. I put it up there with The Exorcist.
Watched Prometheus for the second time. Enjoyed it far more this time and understood more too.
SPOILER ALERT:
Why did David infect Charlie? I know he made fun of David, but am I missing something? Did he do it just to see what would happen?
That was my take. What better way to investigate the effects of the goo?
Fassbender steals every scene.
Also, why did Ridley Scott insist this wasn't a prequel to Alien when it clearly was?
It wasn't a direct prequel because the sequence of events of Alien don't directly follow Prometheus.
Fassbender was excellent, and the movie looks amazing. However I couldn't get over how unlikeable/believable the characters were.
The very last scene makes it hard to believe that it wasn't a prequel.
Agree about the characters being unlikeable. A lot of pointless characters tbh. Idris Elba played a good part and Noomi Rapace was also good. Could have done without most of the others.
