I frequently read Tanguy (signed for Poch) has to start or we don’t create. We haven’t scored a league goal with him on the pitch
We brought Lo Celso in to replace Eriksen (massive task) and then everyone plays him right mid/wing… odd, very odd
We buy Romero but weirdly today he started Sanchez who was the wrong side too many times for me. They were situations where judgment is key and he got it wrong
games are win in midfield and our two best are defensive midfielders

No one is leaving a club during the season, the only thing that might help is it’s 5 games in.
By doing a good job, same as any manager

The only way Nuno succeeds at Spurs with his tactics is getting top 4 and trophies, and we're a million miles from that

But I am saying whoever comes in needs time, and time with the players

He played like that last week and got spanked
The players can’t play that way yet as arguably their incapable or not fit enough yet (or both)
He also needs games to work out who he can trust and who he can’t
Games like today show that Tanguy for all the talent just isn’t it

The right man yes, not any man - you get time by showing yourself capable. If you don't then time will run out

So let me get this straight... we are a million miles from top 4 yet achieving 5th - by whatever means - is not enough?

No. Playing defensive football when we retreat back to your half and given the other team most of the ball isnt good enough unless we're really achieving something.
With football today, there is a huge difference between 4th and 5th given CL football is light years ahead of the EL in terms of money and prestige
Of course you can - you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear but you can show enough that people will want to stick with you

But again to show capability that takes time
Poch first NLD was a 1 - 1 draw. But we had no shots on target. I can’t actually remember how we scored but it was Chadli
He also managed us to get beat there quite a few times with no wins in the league
We didn’t want him sacked
I do also remember a lot of fans wanting Poch gone early as he had some shocking results
And we didn’t really know how we were playing in some of those games
