Nuno Espírito Santo - Sacked

I'd extend that to "top level" football in general.

I love Spurs but can agree with this.

Went to QPR on Friday as they were playing Forest and thoroughly enjoyed the game and experience. There were no big egos on display, some crunching tackles, little play acting and a really entertaining game. The Forest fans were brilliant all game as well especially when they got a last minute equaliser. Cracking little ground as well and we got seats virtually pitchside.

Obviously the result and performance colour my next statement but it was much more enjoyable than yesterday. So much so, my 9 year old asked that we take in a Championship game next time we’re over if we can.

If we are actively seeking an alternative, then we have to let Nuno go now, even if it means Mason taking the helm again for a couple of games. It is unfair - and no doubt counter productive - to keep him as a dead man walking. If the club decide to stick with him for while longer, then they need to cut dead talk of a new manager and give Nuno the support he needs to drop the problem/non-committed players.
I think we'll have a caretaker in for Thursday's game.

We tried the best with Mourinho, and it was the worst thing that happened to us since George Graham.

Fit is important. Anyone who will play high-tempo passing football will see us make enormous strides.

With Poch and Lopetegui not in the game at the moment, Gallardo and Fonesca are the best hopes IMO

Mourinho was not the best, fans like yourself gave him no chance before he even walked in.

Fonseca again has done nothing. The brand of football you want will never fit with these current players. I'd rather have a manager who knows how to win and has the balls to make demands of the club and players.

Looking at the fixtures coming up, there's time and opportunity for a new man to get a decent start as well as time with the team.

Agreed - and if we dont act now, there's a risk that we stumble through the next 6 games picking up say 8 points which keeps Nuno in the job but we dont make real progress....and then we need another run of crap results for him to be pushed. Needs to go now

Anyone could improve this team 10 fold with 4 simple word: high line, possession, press.

We're just stuck in dinosaur football land, with a squad not at all suited to it, for the second coach in a row

a high line, with Dier and Romero?

I like them both but they are sloooowwww

All our players are ballplayers. For 2 years coaches have been trying to get us to do a low block and a hoof and chase and its just never got close to working. Our squad is built for a passing game. We'd need a lot more athletes and sprinters replacing our technical players to make counterattacking work

This. If only Levy understood that.

Agree on Nuno.

I’m hoping it’s misguided wishful thinking and he’ll get through this.

We don't even have players in the team that are willing to press and pass the ball quickly. We lack runners and creativity to find any runners.

We lack runners because we play 2 DMs and also because Son and Moura play very high up giving them less space to run into

Oh dear we will just have to disagree ... none of out players are ball players, none of them have hard work or creativity to win the ball back and play it forward ...

Dier is actually better in a high line than a low block (where his concentration lapses matter more). Sanchez is a high line specialist, and we have Tanganga too - either could partner Romero

None of our players can pass, or shoot, or run.

Son has had some of his best games been pushed further up, he just doesn't have anyone that will spot a run and make the pass. Agree with the two DMs
