No - otherwise Rose wouldn't be there, it was from before the City game. He said he can't understand why Dawson isn't playing for England and that Defoe has to start(amongst other things).

Did he ? Oh, that's not good , not good at all . :(

It would be interesting to see how the likes of Dembele would play without AVBs orders.
Can he be a creative midfielder if let?

He never was at Fulham. In fact he was a midfielder who held on to the ball a lot and always tried to run at opponents - funny that.

Come on Dawson wouldnt look so out of his depth if it wasnt for AVBs high line.
Even AVB realised he couldnt play in his system when he first joined.

A quick moment on Hoddle's preferred formation (not his line up as previously posted)

We have (when fit) a great blend of centre halves to play three at the back, most teams adopt the single striker strategy so it could be a plus here.

We have young, pacey dynamic full backs.

We have the technical players to play three in the middle and with two up font we may actually have some retention!

When Hoddle was last at spurs he did have some real pony to chose from he may be worth a shout IMO.

You're right I've never seen it neither but everyone here hailed him as replacement for Modric.
I really wonder what Hoddle would do with all our similar midfielders.

needs to be someone multi-lingual otherwise players like lamela will just get more depressed and frozen out

Probably embarrass them on the training field until they all strop off refusing to play for him like the last lot.

Yep, I have a friend who was on Spurs books during the Hoddle era. Said that he was great with the youth and knew them all on first name terms, but his biggest problem was that Hoddle thought Hoddle was the best player at the club (admittedly he wasn't far off back then!)

One huge reason Hoddle being brought in is to actually try to bring through our youth players. AVB promised to focus on youth at the start but never give any of them a chance. Hoddle has a background there with his youth academy.

caretaker managers and youth policy don't go together.

not to say that it won't be Hoddle, I think it might be... he just won't use the youth.

it is true to say that the talent at Hoddle's disposal this time around is of far greater quality than he had previously.

He might be kept on to manage our youth set up who knows what Levy is thinking.
Our next league game is away to Southampton its inevitable it will be Hoddle.

Just a little bit! #gingerpele back in the days when Ethers and Davies were going to be the building blocks of the future.

We did Have Teddy (2nd stint) and Poyet and Redknapp but their best years were behind them. Keano did well under Glenn though I seem to recall.

The technical players we have now may be suited to Hoddle...

Who would want to take the poison chalice? We aren't in CL have limited funds and fans who expect us to win the league in two years?

Shame his tactics are 20 years out of date.
