Hoddle? as i said yesterday...get used to

------------------Sandro--------Dembele------------------

---Lennon---------------Eriksen----------------Townsend-

-------------------------Defoe---------------------------

He'd play Soldado rather than Defoe but I think that's pretty much our best team.

He also put up a team on Sky Sports a couple weeks back which was what he viewed as our best team - had Walker and Rose as wingbacks and then Townsend playing off Soldado and Defoe.

good grief

Says who?

Says the same people in the media that said Levy had fallen out with AVB. The same people that got abuse on twitter for doing their jobs and reporting what was going on. Just because theyre not telling people what they want to hear doesn't mean they aren't telling the truth.

Hoddle wouldn't surprise me. I said a week or two back that I could see him coming in. He attends training sessions and talked with Baldini about matters. I don't know why, but I had a feeling almost as if something was being set up. I could be miles off course but I fully expect Hoddle to get involved in some capacity.

One huge reason Hoddle being brought in is to actually try to bring through our youth players. AVB promised to focus on youth at the start but never give any of them a chance. Hoddle has a background there with his youth academy.

Is no-one else excited? We will hopefully now see the best of players like Soldado, Lamela and Eriksen (or at least something better than we've seen). We might get to see Dembele reproduce the form he showed at Fulham. We'll get to see Jan in his correct position.

I've no doubt that the new man won't fancy one or more of our summer signings but I really think we'll start to see the best of some of our other players.

I used to get excited when we sacked managers. I was excited when we sacked Harry and while I was pretty annoyed at the sacking of Ramos, it was an interesting time for the club when Harry got us playing again. Even though I loved Jol the Ramos appointment was exciting.

But now, it just feels like we've been here all too many times before. Nothing changes. We have got a good squad and form will pick up, but this whole process is very needless if you ask me. The results were bad sure, but in the long term planning sphere...the results are just the results. If we acknowledge it takes time to settle everyone in then the results are just the expression of it taking time. It doesn't mean it can't be turned round.

Anyway, seems like it's Hoddle as caretaker...Bielsa would do for me. Or my main man Pardiola.

Not according to one ITK

Who: Ali Z
When: 16th December
Where: COYS

OK,

This has been on the cards for some time, AVB put Levy's nose out of joint.

Levy has been waiting for an opportunity. You will hear loads of rumours re AVB no doubt over the next few days as the Spurs PR machine spins into action.

Levy/Baldini have been putting the feelers out for weeks, now the plan was a young dynamic manager to build long term 18 months ago, wonder if the plan has been dumped too.

At the moment nobody we want is available.

That leaves limited option, sherwood/Freund short term until Summer.

Hoddle or Laudrup possibly both unlikely I would say, Hoddle and Levy both fell out badly and from what I hear Laudrup is happy where he is.

Feeling is they go for option A and then try and get Prandelli or Cappello in the summer, UNLESS and it is a big unless Franco can twist some arms and get one of our younger targets.

All very depressing for me, AVB should not have been sacked, we don't build we want instant success and our Chairman needs to but out more or sell up.

Pardon me? what the hell is that? Was he taking into account our injury situation when he came up with this?

Cant see it being Bielsa (as much as I'd like it) as they'd just bring him straight in.
They obviously have their one someone already in a job until the summer. Which would point more at a current international manager. Levy would have no issue with getting someone to leave their club right now but he's not gonna get someone to give up the world cup.

Sherwood and Freund until the end of the season :ross: What's the f'in point in sacking AVB? Seriously? It's not as if we'd lost 6 in a row with no hope of return. We have big losses but also we are winning games. It's ****ing mental.

I used to always back the professionals, I back the board and I back the manager all of the time because they know more than me. But I don't back Levy on this issue whatsoever.

It's the **** formation that he tried to get to work (and failed) with both Spurs and England 10 years ago. I repeat 10 years ago.

Hoddle would be a terrible move IMO. If we are picking pundits as managers I'd rather have ****ing Gary Neville

No - otherwise Rose wouldn't be there, it was from before the City game. He said he can't understand why Dawson isn't playing for England and that Defoe has to start(amongst other things).

Why are people assuming it's Hoddle? has something been said on sky sports?

Firstly Hoddle wasnt on Sky yesterday when he really should have been. They had Gerrard come in at the last minute.

Then theres this from monday. and other stories from weeks ago

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...tenham-future-still-in-doubt-as-levy-tensions

"Levy's advisers have floated the extraordinary strategy of replacing a coach who led the club to their highest Premier League points total in his first season in charge with Glenn Hoddle; himself dismissed as Tottenham boss a decade ago and out of top-level coaching since 2006"

Then there's the likes of Clive Allen and Gary Lineker coming out today saying Hoddle deserves the chance until the end of the season. A full PR campaign is underway.

Okay, Glenn's team is not in a million years what I'd pick. But I'd bet my mortgage they'd be better than AVB's side.

Ultimately he wouldnt have been sacked if he hadnt fallen out with Levy regardless of results.
