Hopefully, but the result and the performance can both be judged in isolation, even if you win a game, if you have to score 3 goals, you still fudged it up imo.

Obviously there is the money issue, but I wasn’t happy with our approach and temperament to the second leg against City either.

The times under Poch I’ll remember fondly were when we kept clean sheets and had games won by half time, that 6 months where we seemed to win every game 5/6-0.

Only someone on the spectrum would focus on that unless they are employed by the club and being critical is in their job description

It is true that the league position is a better measure of how good a team is and that luck can play a bigger part in winning a cup. That's just the nature of one off games. If we're honest, our run to the CL final would only come in one time in ten.

Eto'o was the best striker in the world and a clutch player especially in the CL something that could not be said about Zlatan.

Recall that Zlatan even got subbed off for abona in the 2nd leg because his form for Barca was so bloody awful. That was an absolutely bonkers transfer on Barcelona's part.

Some short memories flying around here. They were excellent in that period last season, outplaying Juventus and Real Madrid, and we were without Kane for both legs and Son for the 1st leg.

Zlatan was the best player in the world then, he still is now, the issue at Barca was the muppet manager who tried to play him as a wide midfielder.
