Of course we could. Let's be honest here...Levy has done a lot of good but deary me he's ****ed us at crucial times.

1) We FINALLY make CL...a chance to push on....what does Levy do? get lucky and acquire VDV last minute...otherwise we would have been going into our first cl season with the signings of an untried Sandro and William Gallas.

2) January 2011/12 transfer window...Redknapp wants Remy and/or Samba for a title push. We're looking unbeatable.....Levy gets last minute deals for Nelsen and Saha.

3) January 2012/13 transfer window...again doing well...need a striker...get nobody whilst Pool take 'risks' and obtain Coutinho and Sturridge. We fail to make CL again.

He gets either Samba or Remy....we keep Luka. He gets a striker in 2012/13....we keep Bale. We fail to reach CL in both seasons and proceed to lose both...meaning we lost out more in ££££££ than actually buying the players in the first place.

And this is the same bloke who signed the cheques for Darren Bent, David Bentley, when we never needed them, and David Mccallum last summer.

When we are crying out for new blood he chokes. Like half of the squad he has accumulated it would appear Levy is a bottler.

I hope he proves me wrong.

I don't want to belittle LVG's input but Barca's style is inherited from the Ajax academy via Cryuff and it's not true to say the groundwork was laid by LVG. Cruyff is the biological father, LVG was just a influential step dad. Guardiola is credited with adding the defensive nous on top of what was there - the pressing etc.

so who the fcuk was Frankie Rijkaard??

was he?? maybe he simply formed a really good partnership with Rijkaard, bit like Clough and Taylor.

He was running training and given Rijkaard's lack of success elsewhere it seems likely. Rijkaard is just a motivator and figure head IMO, much like Laudrup at Swansea.

Standard reckon Spartak Moscow have moved to make Van Gaal a massive offer to be their manager after the world cup.

and what about Ten Cates success elsewhere:-k......as i said, sometimes certain people just click together for the greater good. Have you seen how many clubs Ten cate has been at:lol:

wow, he can add the Russian title to the ones he has so far in Spain, Holland and Germany

I have decided I want Rafa Benitez. Didn't he say he'd like to manage in the PL again previously?

Make it happen.

No.Thanks.

urgh the thought of watching his 'brand' of football makes me feel ill

I've not watched much of Napoli to be honest, but I thought they were playing decent football? Didn't Liverpool play some good stuff under him as well? I thought his Chelsea team were pretty shocking to watch but he won them a trophy and had them organised. What I do like about him is that I feel he would be able to implement a system that works and have us winning games consistently in quite a short period. I know the dream is always to play beautiful football but I'm at the point now where I just want to win games and challenge for trophies.

My personal feeling is that he would be able to do what we hired AVB for.

Eddie Howes blue and white army .....nice sound to it

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Scara and Gutterboy might like him cos he talks posh well not posh but not chavish like Sherwood.

To be honest this clubs if it wants to get the fans on side need someone with experience and a history. If not LVG then I would actually consider Rafa. The is something about FDB at Ajax I am not convinced about yet.
