Next Manager?

Not saying he's coming to us. But if his reported problems are true, leaving PSG to go to Madrid would make less sense then him coming to us.

White hankies would be out in double quick time.

On the plus side, it seems that we'll either end up with Poch back or Conte which is a good end result.....Unless this is like some of a previous recent two horse races that is.

I still think it’s the Ajax man

I think Real Madrid will come knocking for Poch and unless his personal situation dictates, will go there. He’s always wanted that gig and can’t see him giving that up, should the offer come.

Im romantiscised by a Poch return and hanging on to the belief that his family are settled here and Paris wasn't working from that aspect.
Also hanging onto the idea that he wouldn't come back unless the squad will be freshened up otherwise nothing changes same old same old.
And the club are going to invest significantly and back him.

And then I woke up.

Say if Poch returns... How long long do you give him to be back in the CL... And the next trophy? Or is qualifying for Europa next year good enough?

I think Europa is next year's target with CL the user after.
There are 6 teams, all of whom can finish 3-8th.

It'll be an interesting summer:
City need to replace Aguero. Now small task.

Man U looks good. But need more depth.EL loss might just cast a shadow. Or it might spur them on.

Liverpool should get back to where they were.
However, alot depends on how VVD is after injury.

Chelsea will be able attract anyone after the CL win.

You'd expect that to be the top4.

Leicester - if they handle CL and the league are also top 4 quality. But can they?

That leaves us, Arsenal and AN other. This season it was West Ham.
Not a huge amount of difference between the three squads in terms of effectiveness - just different areas of weakness.

With the right set up and three or four correct additions at CB and CM, we could make top 4 with a fully firing Kane and Son. And perhaps Bale.
We could equally finish 8th.
We have a new spine to build - that's a tough ask. But has huge benefits if done right.

Pochettino would only consider going back if Spurs do not sell Harry Kane and Levy believes bringing back the Argentinian manager would help persuade the England captain to stay.

So I read some tweets and have checked.

William Hill our betting partner have indeed suspended betting on Poch to Spurs, and have opened betting on next PSG manager with Zidane at Evans. Route is the favourite for Madrid.

Could all be gonads mind.

Fair post. I'd say that we performed at about 50% of our potential last season, Leicester around 100%, West Ham at about 120%, Arsenal maybe 75%. Not precise but directional.

Agree with your view though that we the right signings, and more importantly actually having some tactics which suit our players, we can be a lot lot better than this season and get close to top4.

Who the hell is Route? Typo for Conte!?

Part of me thinks the only way Poch would come back is if he’s got real assurances and Levy has decided he is the best chance of us succeeding.

I do kind of worry though that the various PR missteps this season mean Levy is desperate and sees Poch as a short term fix to head it all off. In that instance, I really wouldn’t want Poch to come back. If nothing has really changed he will not succeed and it really would end in tears.

Kane, on top of ESL, on top of £60 tickets, on top of sacking Jose before a final, on top of the last 2 years. I worry a little that Levy is desperate. Hope I’m wrong and I may well be, but for Poch’s sake if he’s doing this I hope he knows exactly what he’s coming into.
