Next Manager?

That result tonight pretty much assures Leicester top 4 bar a collapse even we'd struggle to pull off.

Unless we get 4th, I can't see why that insufferable prick Rodgers would come here next season. I really hope Levy has a plan because with Nagelsmann gone and Rodgers out of the picture, it isn't looking good.

I could live with the Ajax lad or Potter I guess. Slim pickings other than that. If Sarri or Southgate get it, I'm out.

If we'd've done this in early January we could have got Tuchels. I think that was a sliding doors moment with us and Chelsea - they acted, we were passive. That 3.5 months of indecision over sacking Mourinho cost us.

Allegri or Ten Hag for me, maybe edging towards Ten Hag as a lot of the letters are in TotTENHAm. Similar success that Woolwich had with ARSENe would be very welcome! :D

I’ve been saying the exact same thing a lot recently. Bet Levy has been thinking it too!

Ten Hag absolutely bottled it against us. Our players will always see him as that guy from the semi final in Amsterdam.

I would give Rangnick the run of the club as Director of Football/Technical Director or whatever he wants to call it in the morning.
Let him make every football decision and put Levy back to his role in failing to get a stadium sponsor.
He would even get to decide when to sell players not Levy hanging on to deadwood trying to get every million of value out of them.

This is the guy that has been running the Red Bull clubs.
Let him appoint the new head coach.
Let him change the entire scouting and coaching system.
The Club would be set for the next decade.

Came here to say Rangnick too but as a manager first. His first season is about establishing some foundations about how we want to play; the type of players we want, being to move on those who don't fit that and bring in those who we can. The rebuild will take several seasons, so slowly work through it, accepting that in the short term we might miss out on the glory glory nights. At the same time, work with Rangnick for his own replacement in 3-5 seasons. Not necessarily THE person, but the type of manager we want. Once he has found that, let him move upstairs and continue to run the scouting and recruitment.

Shows he wouldn’t have been a good fit for us anyway, complete lack of ambition, any idiot can win the European Cup with Bayern.

Good to get that speculation out of the way early.

Sounds very reactionary, but not sure I was completely sold on him anyway (they played so badly against Pool who was out of form at the time)

am sure it's already been highlighted but with the Euros too, it's absolutely essential we tie up a new manager to start as soon as the season finishes. there's a lot of work our squad needs, and that new guy will need as much time as possible.

Whether Levy will make that happen, as we know, is another question. He should be using the time Mason has to identify the right candidate and have him ready to go from 1st June basically. anything other than that is a failure on his part.

So where does that leave us?

Rodgers - i think this is dependent on CL qualification. If they don't get it, he's probable at best. If they do get it, then can't see it.

Ten Hag - good work with Ajax who we should look to emulate by rotating quality youth through and making a profit to keep us ticking over, but obvs it's a risk for someone with no PL experience.

Potter - for me if it's not Rodgers, it has to be Potter.

That list just makes a mockery of us not backing Poch btw...
