New Stadium and Training Ground - Pg 104 Northumberland Park master plan

Qatar Airways is the main rumour. Could have some truth as the world cup gives them the stage they need to build on.

Can see a whole Qulture evolving if QA comes on board.

Q-ing up to see Spurs, KicQin' in the Q-Dome, where they play that Qool brand of Q-ball.

Hot babes in the stands will be called Q-tees.

Media conferences will be called Q & A's. Fan requests known as Queries from the Q-urious.

The shirt badge will feature a CocQuerel.

Somebody stop me. ThanQ U.

Like at emirates? We have a reputation but theres at least as many jewish fans of them lot. Maybe more! I would imagine you mean Levy is Jewish so they wont deal with him, the inference being all arabs are racist.

Wrong on so many levels.

:D

......

Can't see any arab money ever getting behind a Jewish club.

"Jewish club" massively overstates it. The Jewish thing is little more than a minor historical/cultural echo at this stage.

Mate, broad statements are always wrong, but to suggest there is no reality to Arab views of people/women/human rights/other religions (especially jews) being questionable?

Not my place to say, but could see it being an issue/deal blocker.

Actually, Tottenham is owned by Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy, both Jewish. Does that make it a Jewish club? are Chelsea and ManU Jewish clubs because they're owned by Jews? Arsenal probably has just as many Jewish supporters as Spurs, are they a Jewish club? the Arabs don't seem to care.

I havent competely given up hope on the new stadium for next season. It wouldnt surprise me if Levy has been building it underground and will stun everyone by having a fudging huge 70,000 seater rise up from a secret hatch on the first day of the season. That's the sort of guy he is.

:D

Like a modern day Dr. No or something.

this isnt the thread for this, so ill just clarify. Suggesting we wont get a deal from businessman A can be because of a myriad of complicated reasons, but ultimately a businessman X will sit down and negotiate a deal over a period of months, concluding a deal which will cover many years. Those who dont like Jews will presumably not bother to pitch for a multimillion?ú deal, and those who do/dont care presumably will want to be involved.

Exactly. This is a very unique opportunity to sponsor a new stadium in arguably the worlds premier city. An opportunity that barring Chelsea probably won't cone up again in our lifetimes.

As ivve said before, were the lead insurer for QA, when they were in a few months back, their CFO told my boss they were talking to Spurs about being the stadium / station main sponsor

Is this project viable without CL? I assume the sponsorship and naming rights revenue streams just had a big setback.

It would be beyond naive and into the realms of idiocy to embark on a project like this assuming we could rely on CL money.

I think Levy is better than that

I agree. Bearing in mind we have only had one season in the CL in our history, I'm quite sure any plans/budget for the stadium would not be reliant on CL earnings.
That money would just be an added bonus, I'd like to think so anyway, otherwise, as you say it would idiotic
