Ok, so new music from an old band. The Stranglers new album is excellent in my very humble opinion. This is a song featuring Stuart Pearce in a James Bond type role:

We lived next door to Mark Gardener when I was at Uni, very down to earth bloke. Nowhere was a masterpiece of an album. Never been to the Roundhouse but its always been one of the venues I've wanted to visit one day.

Seen them 3 times since they've reformed. Cracking band. Dreams Burn Down live is one of the greatest things I've ever heard.
The new stuff is really good too, though I prefer Weather Diaries to This Is Not A Safe Place. Lannoy Point is a fantastic song.

Other than the acoustic at the 100 Club, I don't think I've seen them since about 94.

My son came back from a guitar lesson yesterday telling me we needed to listen to a song called Hypersonic Missile by a something called Sam Fender. Anyone heard it?

Really looking forward to seeing Cory Wong and the Wongnotes on Jan. 25 in a cozy 1,400 cap. nearby venue. With lots of bars and restaurants along the way. They are smokin' hot these days with two recent releases. One, a killer co-operative effort with Sveden's Dirty Loops, the other the result of some great sessions at Prince's Paisley Park Studios.
