Nabil Bentaleb

We have some good alternatives for Alli being out - none of which worry me that the team performance will drop because of his absence...and considering he's been one of our best performers this season it really highlights the turnaround we have seen from last season to this.

Maybe a bit early for Bentaleb to be thrown back in - I'd expect either Mason or Dembele to fill in with Bentaleb playing tomorrow
 
Bit early I think to throw Bentaleb straight back into action vs Chelsea but if he actually is fit enough to play some minutes, I'd like to see him in Azerbaijan.

And for those writing him off so early on, I think its very easy to remember how good he was last season and how young he actually is....

I'll be honest, I assumed it was an 'injury', a precuation so that he doesn't bother travelling all the way over there.

I do hope its nothing serious though.

Look at some of the starters for top PL teams these days. How well would they have done at 19/20 as regular starters for a top 4 chasing team? Yaya Toure? Fernandinho? Delph? Schweinsteiger? Carrick? Schneiderlin? Matic?

The only one I can think of that wouldn't have looked completely out of place would be Fabregas. Looking at the top clubs around the continent it's a rather similar story with a small handful of rather spectacular exceptions.

If anything I think Bentaleb's performance last season is underrated by many.
 
Nabil on the bench perhaps, but maybe Carroll's bite and drive in Thurs sub appearance has earned Nabil another week to recover? Coco will be in the squad.
