Best game for us in a long time. Good run and a very good header for the goal, got forward more and was clearly more useful on the ball.
Still non-figuratively half as many passes as Hojbjerg, and less than no.10 Ndombele too - just can’t praise a central midfielder who continues to get on the ball so little (apart from for his nicely taken goal!)
the ball is a passenger in the game, it's movement is dictated by space, space made by the movement of players, you can influence a game without touching the ball
Pretty sure Sissoko’s header was supposed to be a defensive header that went horribly wrong, or right? ...
He did very well.I get the humour, but really it's a well worked piece that Sissoko actually started, looked up, made the run, found the space, good header. All well done
It’s pretty obvious that Sissokos role isn’t primarily focused on his on the ball contribution. But when he does have the ball, it’s about what he does with it. Last night whenever he had the ball he used it with quality and diligence whilst breaking forward and helping create which is all you can ask. To try and put down his performance because he didn’t touch the ball as much as other midfielders is a little sad....I appreciate and agree with that in general. E.g. I had no problem with Dele getting on the ball less than Eriksen, because I recognised that he was making intelligent runs away from the ball to open space for others and/or get into goalscoring positions himself. But I don't notice that kind of thing in Sissoko (with the exception of his goal last night) - do you? It looks to me like he's just hiding from the ball a lot of the time.

He can sense danger in an instant. It's immediately after he's taken a touch.Sissoko doesnt hide from the ball. He hunts it down especially if it is the opponent with it in his zone. There is a reason he plays for France.
Discuss away mate, just find it sad that in your own words you can’t praise him when he clearly had a good game by anyone’s standards. But each to their own...Don't know why it's sad mate, I just come on here to try and have interesting discussions about different players - not to put anyone down!
