Even more amusing if we just pay the release fee for MGW, but ignored Kudus' release fee (rightly so, ridiculously high) and haggled a deal. Not as serious rivals.
But as amusing little things to be a source of entertainment, sure.

I wonder if there was some strategic planning in getting the Kudus deal agreed below release clause before just dropping the full amount for MGW literally 24 hrs later. Just to avoid the Hammers getting all angsty (or childish ) about it.Even more amusing if we just pay the release fee for MGW, but ignored Kudus' release fee (rightly so, ridiculously high) and haggled a deal.
I think West Ham were far FAR more desperate for cash asap and us offering a big enough amount up front meant that we could do a total price that is much more palatable.I wonder if there was some strategic planning in getting the Kudus deal agreed below release clause before just dropping the full amount for MGW literally 24 hrs later. I'd imagine that's very likely.I wonder if there was some strategic planning in getting the Kudus deal agreed below release clause before just dropping the full amount for MGW literally 24 hrs later. Just to avoid the Hammers getting all angsty (or childish ) about it.
Oh I agree they were in need of cash. But in business when you're dealing with a club that probably hates you and the likes of Sullivan and Brady best to keep things as smooth as possible in case one of their numpties starts to get a bit emotional about the situation (ie if they saw we was just dropping the full RC for MGW) and start playing silly buggers.I think West Ham were far FAR more desperate for cash asap and us offering a big enough amount up front meant that we could do a total price that is much more palatable.
And compares very well to recent deals for, say, Gittens, Elanga and seemingly Madueke.
West Ham fans are bitter, yes he didn’t have a great season last season but he was playing out of position. West Ham fans say he is brick and now some Spurs fans are doubting the move. Even in a brick season he still stood out in a lot of games. He said he came to Spurs because of Franks track record with improving players, so he is clearly ready to learn.
Some West Ham fans have also mentioned how he was clearly using them as a stepping stone and he didn’t seem interested last season until he played against the top teams where he turned up and put in a performance because he wanted one of them to buy him. I would take him being brick but turning up against the big boys to he fair, what with our squad we could literally sit him on the bench until we play the big teams![]()
It's certainly not his physical side we need to work on.I think he could develop into one of the best in the league quite quickly. He has the perfect physique for the modern game, no real detectable physical weakness at all, great at running/dribbling fast and creating chances. Really glad we got him...
Doesn't look that bad to me. Certainly not greedy to start with. It's certainly not his physical side we need to work on.
Frank has his work cut out working on the decision making side of his game. It's a bit late for him to be starting that, so let's hope he's a late developer.
Not greedy, just very little end product.Doesn't look that bad to me. Certainly not greedy to start with.
I don’t.I do like a dribbler!
