Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are likely to miss out for the hosts, while Eric Dier continues to remain a doubt despite nearing a return.

It’s disappointing news for Saints, who will be without Lyanco for at least eight weeks as he recovers from a hamstring injury picked up against Coventry.

Nathan Tella continues to recover from a groin injury, with Hasenhüttl hopeful he will be back in training next week
 
Team largely picks itself but bentancur could start.

Apart from that there is an argument to switch the wingbacks and bring sessegnon and doherty in.

We should get them some game time as there is going to come an extended period of time soon where we are playing every few days and we will need to use players like these two from the start now and again during that busy period.

Moura was poor vs Brighton. Royal didn't impress. Would like to see some tweaks. Bentacur looks tasty. But yes, the same mentality, drive, bite, ambition and hopefully audere est facere.
 
Didn't Conte say Kulu can play "right forward"? Will be interesting to see him start instead of Moura. All for Bentan starting alongside Hojberg.
 
Bentancur or Winks, would be happy with either really.

Don't think it will be Kulusevski yet, younger than Bentancur and we have both Lucas and Bergwijn as options as well.

After the Wolverhampton game we have a week off?

I'm guessing not much rotation, if we had another midweek game next week might have been different. Will be interesting to see how Conte thinks about it though.

If the last meeting and Southampton's general approach tells us anything about this game they will start pressing, running, tackling and fouling like their lives depended on it.

Brighton started a bit more carefully, then tried to turn the screw in the second half.

I'm guessing the start of the game will be very different to the Brighton game, and we'll most likely struggle a fair bit. Hopefully we can get some good counter attacks going.

Southampton run out of steam, it pretty much just will happen if they start like they usually do. So even if our start looks shaky it's not a bad situation to be in as long as we can keep it tight at the back.
 
Southampton has played with high press in games, thats why we play well against then… so our def.mid. Needs to stop the ball and send the ball pass the Southampton back line.. son and Moura will need to run today.. and maybe bergwijn should play insted of Moura
 
Have been scarred by history. Want Bentancur to play, but don’t want him to disappoint! So I spose Winks to do an hour, then…..
