They could strip Chelsea and City of the official titles and award no winners. That's what the Tour de France did with Lance Armstrong, although part of the reasoning there was probably that they were all at it.

At the end of the season, with the title decided, the clubs in the minor places often play weaker or experimental sides as finishing 2-4th makes no real difference, so second place may not be the club who deserves the vacated title. And adding a trophy to the cabinet without celebrating the win seems rather lame.

I'd rather see that if they got stripped of the title.

Part of winning anything is showing the bollox to get over the line and really perform when a title is within grasp. We didn't do that by finishing second so under no scenario have we justified being called champions. We wouldn't have gotten over the line, the line would have come to us which is no way to win.

Plus, when we do win the league, I'm planning on being drunk for about a month solid. You need to do that sort of thing at the time - not 9 years later.

@DeanoAustin forget it mate, I've been waiting 50 years for a league title celebration and the way football is now I can't see us ever doing it, unless we drop down and win the Championship!

Part of my love for football died when we won ef all with Poch, such good times and a belief we could compete at the top table.
A man who 'got' what we were about and had us beating Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and Emirates Marketing Project...not so much Liverpool.
Been a steady decline since.

We smashed a Klopp Liverpool team 4-1 at Wembley iirc.

It would be a tainted title imo, not as tainted as Chelsea, but still tainted.
With that in mind I'd celebrate Chelsea being stripped off it more than I would us being awarded it.
