I always had that niggling doubt that he would get the full support of a club with old pros like Terry and Lampard in there. As I said, irrespective of his whizz kid ideologies and revolutionary tactical theories, he still had to command the respect of the team, to get them spiritually on board. He's got first teamers the same age as him, and absolutely no history in the game, apart from Porto's success.
Despite what people think, leadership is more than just charisma and fancy tactics - people are more likely to believe in someone who has been through the same apprenticeship in the game.
