I think Kenny is safe past the summer if he gets them the League Cup trophy, along with his status at the club I can't see them firing him if he brings home silverware in his first full season.

I think AVB is done if he doesn't get them CL football. Would be an unprecedented case of patience if Abramovich doesn't send him packing if they do miss out on CL at least. Might go sooner as well, you never know with the russian.

I think Wenger is safe until the summer, but will be interesting to see what they do then. I'm guessing he will be given another season even if they miss out on CL, but difficult to guess.
 
i reckon if Arsenal get knocked out the cup and we give em a hiding then we could well have seen the last of Wenger
 
gooner at work was saying it would be a good thing for them if they finish outside the top four so they can get rid of Wenger and start a fresh, if they scrape fourth he is worried they will carry on as they have been
 
I don't think wenger will quit, cos he's too stubborn, Kenny could shoot the baby Jesus, in the face, in front of the Kop, burn him, then tinkle on the ashes, and still not get sacked, AVB will get the boot as soon as Chelski are out of the CL.

This is brilliant!! I've never loved being a SPurs fan so much, it's bound to end in disaster, but I'm enjoying the ride!

I always had that niggling doubt that he would get the full support of a club with old pros like Terry and Lampard in there. As I said, irrespective of his whizz kid ideologies and revolutionary tactical theories, he still had to command the respect of the team, to get them spiritually on board. He's got first teamers the same age as him, and absolutely no history in the game, apart from Porto's success.

Despite what people think, leadership is more than just charisma and fancy tactics - people are more likely to believe in someone who has been through the same apprenticeship in the game.

I think he's right. It might be the best thing for them, so it goes without saying I hope they don't do that. It's probably more likely that Wenger will move upstairs or into a head of 'youth development' type role (insert your own joke here).

I agree with you to a point. But really those players are meant to be professionals. I would give him time and allow him to get rid of those destructive players who must be a nightmare to deal with. There really was no point spending all the money they did on getting him in unless they give him the chance to shape it much more as he wants to. But hardly helped by the chelsea fans, no atmosphere, again no sell-out, and some chanting for Jose. They really don't deserve any success.
 
Sky Sports understands Wolves have asked Brighton for permission to speak to Poyet. Makes a lot more sense than Bruce being the favorite.

Tough decision for Gus. My sense is that walking out on Brighton at such a crunch time in their season might be too much baggage for him to carry around with him and so he'd be better advised to turn them down.
 
Don't understand why curbishley is still out of management, his record is pretty good and actually better than most current prem managers! He'd do wonders at a wolves, west brom size club, would be interesting to see him at a villa / everton as well, slightly bigger budgets and expectations.
